I am on day 13 no cheating, i think the dr would be mad if he cut me open and found pizza or chicken in me. Not having food is helping me build a different realionship with food. Eat to live, not live to eat. That's what i keep telling myself.

I have been giving my clothing that don't fit anymore to friends and the ones my friends didn't want i took to the food pantry in the town i live in.

Yes the gas is uncontrollable. Sometimes its quite and no one can hear other times everyone can hear.i am afraid while i am on the phone people can her it.

Having a medic and nurse on the RNYTalk boards will be very helpful! Please, PLEASE don't ever hesitate to pipe in if you think someone should seek their surgeon or medical help. Quite often folks post things here that make me scratch my head as to why they haven't called their surgeon/bariatric center to confirm it's nothing or to confirm they need to go in. I'd love for folks who see these things and dangerous signs and symptoms to feel comfortable to pipe in.

My scale isn't moving either, but I know inches are coming off ( 30.5 so far). I feel better each day. I attempt to get in my protein, everything I eat has protein, I try to get my 64 oz of fluids and I do protein shakes about every other day. It will happen, I try not to focus on the #

Already loving it. Plus my daughter has lost 15 lbs by us all eating healthier which make me so happy she is no longer considered over weight.

I think its sad that so many of us have lost or will lose a friend because they can't understand why we have chosen the path we have. Having surgery is not an easy out. And its sad that they believe it is. Surgery makes it were i am not hungry 24 7 and if it wasn't for surgery i would still be a smoker. Yea i know that some would say if i could quit for surgery i could have quit any time but i have before and always started back up. This time i can't start back up cause i don't want an ulcer. Once again surgery is a tool and we all need to use it the best we can.

Walk as soon as u can.... and keep walking the more u walk the sooner the gas will go away. And the sooner u will start passing gas which is good.

Welcome to the group .... as far as ur question i am only 18 days out. At first i was thinking about the band .... but my doctor said with my previous health issues and where i need to be rny was better. Talk to ur doctor. Every surgery has the ones it doesn't work for or ones that don't use the tool the way they were sopose to.

Lol me too!!! It's the only way I get through my day!

Before my surgery me and my husband separated because he still wants to be a kid and my weight could of been and issue as well but he always said to me that my weight never bothered him not that I'm 70lb lighter I slowly see him tryin to sneak back in my life! But I'm not about that!! If you didn't like me when I was fat don't come around now that I'm smaller because this chick is never settling ever again I deserve way more better!!

Had a great day today on soft food now and done with my 4 weeks of shakes. Now i only have to do them to get protein in. I am going to try to get it all in with food i know that will be hard though and probably will have at least one or two shakes a day.

I only told my immediate family and my best friend..... my friends and co workers know my health has been up and down since my twins but i have never been the type of person to tell everyone my business. So they know i am out for a while but don't know why. Its up to u what and when u want to tell people.
