  2. Hello All, Just wanted to introduce myself. I was brought on to this message board when someone had put a link to my site on here and I was checking my logs and jumped aboard. I've struggled with my weight and have been obese all of my adult life and early childhood. In the past year I have recently promised myself that I was going to make a change. I looked into all types of surgery and decided that the Lap Band procedure is what was best for me with my doctors advice as well. I have yet to get the surgery done. My insurance wants me to go through a monitored diet program for a period of 12 months. I have decided on the Beaumont Diet (local hospital all Protein shake diet) To date I have lost a total of 104 pounds starting on my birthday last year Jan 23rd. I challenged myself to lose 100 pounds by my birthday of next year 08. I have passed my goal. That was only my first goal...lol My target weight that I want to be at is 275 pounds. I believe I can do this. I also I believe I can do this without the lap band procedure as I've been able to lose the weight on my own. My will power is unbelievable. I just wish I would have been able to find it oh say 10-12 years ago. I have a blog that I update regularly with my progress and just rants and things about myself please give it a look and ask questions I'll be happy to answer anything. Even though I don't have the surgery and have not totally ruled it out I still want to show my face around here for the support that I get from all of you and also to be able to give support. I wish everyone success with the help of all of us we can succeed. Jess
  3. Yes Very Much So, and thank you. I would be able to do this without support and help from friends family and people like this site were everyone is battling the same thing

  5. Hey All, Per My Insurance I have to go through 12 months of a structured diet before I can be evaluated for the procedure. TO Date as of the 23rd of January 2007 I have lost 20 pounds on an all protein shake medically monitored diet. My goal is to be 100 pounds lighter by the time I do the surgery. I have my own website and I also am an Internet Radio host for Knockoutradio.net
