First Fill And Plateau
I had my first fill today! Dr. Put in 2cc to the 1.22 he added when banded which gives me 3.22 cc total. I was worried for nothing. The fill was super easy. I had also lost 10 lbs since surgery 4 weeks ago!!!! I thought I was at a plateau?!!!! I am super excited about having my band now! Dr. Told me if I continue at the same pace I'll reach my goal weight around Christmas!!!!!

I was banded on June 11, 2012. I am 4 weeks post op and go in tomorrow for my first fill. I am nervous because I can not find my port. Just anxious about the needle thing! Crazy huh considering I went through the surgery fine and that was major in comparison! I have not lost weight since the liquid diet prior to surgery. I am eating anywhere from 900-1000 calories a day and the weight is not coming off like before surgery. I have read on here to increase calorie intake to restart the metabolism so to speak. I had lost 41 lbs on my own before surgery and getting frustrated that it is not coming off now. Any advice???? I am going to talk to my surgeon about this tomorrow. I am eating the protein like I am supposed to---but getting impatient.- Protein Powder/shakes With Little After Taste?
I love the banana and chocolate flavors made by Bariatic Advantage. Both can have flavors added to them---like sugar free chocolate mint syrup in the chocolate and peanut butter to the banana. The shakes are not as good to me made with water. I use skim milk. They have 27grams of protein in one 8 oz shake. Some of the best numbers on the market!!! I also use VitaBand. The vitamin made by Bariatric Advantage. My surgeons office sells the products so it's easy to pick up during a visit! I know they cost more but I have compared them to some of the others--/ you get what you pay for. I take one vitamin a day-chewable watermelon flavor--- 180 in a bottle. That's a 3 months supply. I am a fanatic about the protein! I have always been told I have beautiful hair and I don't want that to change- Newly Banded
It was the third day after surgery! Today is the 5th day after my surgery. I am my parents house today at the pool! I am not swimming but everyone else is! I feel sooooo much better today! Hang in there. The gas pains do ease up. I hardly have any today.- Newly Banded
I had the surgery Monday, June 11th. 3rd day after surgery was the worst. My pain from gas has been great as well. I have found that GasX strips worked wonders and when you do burp to blow air out of your mouth! Sounds crazy but it helped! Today-Friday has been the best! Lots more energy, few gas pains! Stick to it, you DID make the right decision! - First Fill And Plateau
