Are you taking a daily PPI? I think I had a similar problem and when I took my prilosec it almost cleared up immediately

OMG that's also where I feel the pain just before Precious Pouch starts to hurl everything back up.
That said I would thin your Greek yogurt down with skim milk, and work your way up to full strength. Your new digestive system is still pretty tender, take it slow and gentle, you will have a lot time to eat the thicker and regular foods. Your tummy is learning its way also.

I’m trying to transition from liquids to puréed food and feeling not so well today. Thinner purées like apple sauce are mostly alright but thicker foods like Greek yogurt can cause intense pain under my sternum because the air I swallow can’t work it’s way out. It’s breathtaking and stops me in my tracks. Is it too soon? I’ve reached out to my surgeon but in the meantime, do you have any input? I’m just worn out today and not feeling good at all.

I order appetizers as my main course a lot of the time. I order shrimp quite often as well, restaurants never give you very many. I tend to concentrate on eating whatever protein I ordered and let the sides go uneaten. If they look particularly good I'll get them in a doggy bag.

I usually indulge in a soup while people are eating appetizers and bread and give myself time to digest some. It’s hard when food keeps coming. Then when my food comes I only take a bite if someone is looking because I’ve been pushing my food around. I notice I make more eye contact and talk more since I’m not stuffing my face. I usually have enough to take home for about 3–5 more meals. I order a lean meat and veggie.

I order appetizer sizes of things. Started doing that about 4 weeks post op when I could eat a larger variety of foods.

I usually get a naked turkey/or vegetarian burger (burger wrapped in lettuce instead of bread) or just tea and coffee when everything is too crazy.
Ask for calorie info if it's not provided, that should help guide your decisions

I've gone out for sushi (light or no rice) and usually let my husband finish off the roll I can't eat. We've split fajitas too. We went out for gyros and I just got the meat.

Soups (not creamy), turkey burger (no bun), omelettes have been go-to items for me so far. I travel for work so can’t always eat home prepared foods. I’m 7 weeks post op and it’s definitely easier to eat at home still.

For myself personally, I find it uncomfortable to drink with meals. My surgeon has us wait a whole hour after meals. I have followed the guideline without difficulty.
You may not have problems now....

The before eating I find to be bunk, the idea is that water pooled in your pouch/sleeve might help slide food through, the after is purely to avoid sliding the food through, both also are to help prevent food expansion from absorbing the water. I don't follow the before hand waiting, but I do the post eating if at all possible.
