    Hi I was banded by Dr. Gellman on 8/23/05. I have lost 27 lbs. He is a nice guy with a very nice bedside manner. I got two opinion prior to surgery. What I liked about this practice is that 2 surgeons perform this surgery. I like my 1 overnight stay at NSUH manhasset. I had to change from him because he no lnger accepts Oxford. I feel that this procedure is a true medical miracle. I WOULD NEVER HAVE LOST 27 POUNDS ON MY OWN. I wish it were more but I could not have done this on my own

    i was banded 8/23/05 and have lost 27 lbs. It is not easy. I learn every day. I had my first fill in 12/05. I just keep going.
