Men, while we understand that you may be curious as to what is going on in the powder Room, Alex and I respectfully request that you refrain from posting in this forum. The purpose of having a room for the ladies is so they may post about subjects specific to woman only, and feel comfortable in doing so. Many times these are sensitive issues, and this should be a safe place to discuss female related problems without the fear of being judged or being afraid that their issue may not be taken seriously. We will be, in turn asking the same of the ladies in regards to the Man Room.

I had surgery July 2, 2013 at Swedish Hospital in Seattle. I started this process at a high weight of 330lbs size 26-28, 4x women's. I am now 173 lbs and still losing, although more slowly for sure. I can now wear a size 12 and a size large shirt and dresses and I have such a fun time trying on and buying clothes now! Ann Taylor, banana Republic, The Limited etc- I now fit size 12 petite! I think I've developed a clothing addiction- good thing I swear by thrift stores! I'm running now, joining a rowing team and gardening up a storm. I get 1000-1200 calories per day and get 80 grams of Protein with that. My side by side before pic is from Feb. 2013 and the after pic is July 2, 2014- my 1st surgery anniversary. I'm still trying to lose about 20 more lbs, but even if I don't lose any more weight, I'm totally fine with that. .

I haven't posted in awhile. But since I hit a major milestone I thought it deserved a post. My surgery was nine months ago and I've lost 100 pounds!!!! Seeing before and after pics was so inspiring before surgery and it still is even today. I hope this helps someone who's on the fence about WLS. Take the plunge it's sooooooooooooooooo worth it!!!

I'm a little over 7 months post op. Here's a before during summer of last year and one that was taken about 3 weeks ago. Down from a 42/44 to a 34 waist, and from XXL to Medium/Large in shirt sizes. 5'10 currently 208lbs and in the first picture, I was around 300lbs.

Hard to believe these pictures were taken one year apart! My boyfriend had gastric bypass on August 1, 2013 and I was sleeved on January 15, 2014. Combined we have lost over 220lbs!

Omg you all look so great!!!!! I still can't believe it's been almost 7 months since surgery but I am so so so happy with my results results so far.

Almost at my goal!!!!! But I think my body will keep going until it levels out. But I'm comfortable with 170. We will see.

Surgery was 7/15/13, and I weighed 265 pounds! I am currently 148, and wearing a size small- medium shirt and 8/10 pants and before was in atleast a 22 pants and XL shirt

6 months post op VSG yesterday. 95 gone, 65 left to go. I'm still a work in process. Weight loss has slowed down, only 7 gone in the last month. Seem to be fighting for each pound now. Started at 325 so I've still got more to go but I sure feel better. Pictures DO help encourage me (for all you contemplating or pre-op). I'm so thankful for the excellent program at Vanderbilt University and for my awesome friends and family who have supported me. Just signed up for my first 5K in December. Time to take exercise seriously.

I was a little weary at first, especially having had the lap band fail the first time around. But getting the sleeve was the best decision I have ever made for myself. I have never been able to look in the mirror and like what I see, until now who knew I would ever like to be in pictures?!

20 months post op started at 299 now 162 been as low 160
