  1. I went to Bajanor Hospital in Tijuana, February 2007, and was treated well, with no complications. I got the Inamed, simply because it's FDA approved if I SHOULD have complications that needed immediate U.S. inteventions. I went for my first fill April 19, at Bajanor, under fleuroscopy which I think is the safest. I watched the flow through the lapband, analyzed the "feel" of it. My input was respected and valued. They have my loyalty. I am an RN and I'm not passive about my healthcare. All my questions and concerns were welcomed and answered thoroughly and with enthusiasm.
  2. I was banded in Tijuana at the Bajanor Hospital. I started out weighing 249 pounds, with a 34.9 BMI, and qualified due to family history, a long history of failed weight loss, and a current pre-diabetic diagnosis (PCOS and hyperinsulin response). I am currently at 234 pounds and holding there for the past week. It is the same weight I get "stopped" at without the band. Of course, I am waiting to get through that barrier and I have yet to get a fill, but I will. I still have questions and concerns. I guess I didn't know enough to ask the right questions when I had opportunity -- a person can only know what they know at the point they know it. For now, this is my introduction. I will continue to follow the regimen for eating and address the questions on my first fill the end of March and search these forums for similar questions. Wishing the Best for Everyone, Becky
