Too all those now on their pre-op diets...I am on Day 17 of my pre-op diet. You read that correctly, Day 17. I have to do a 28 day liver shrinking diet. 4 protein shakes, 1 lean and green meal, and 1 serving of sugar free jell-o. No matter what your pre-op diet, it gets better! The first 3 days were tough, but now I am smooth sailing through it! 11 days to go for me! Pre-op surgeon visit this Friday and medical clearance with my primary on Monday.

Got my date yesterday! I am scheduled for Sept. 21! Pre-op liver shrinking diet was started on 8/21 since I have to do a 28-day liver shrinking diet.

I contacted my insurance company yesterday to see if I was approved. Turns out everything was submitted on Aug. 19 and I received approval on Aug. 20. I made sure to get the authorization number, date the letter was sent, and a contact name for my doctor. Then I called my doctor to let them know. I received a call later that day from the doctor's office with my surgery date! Sept. 21. Hope this helps!
