  1. Hi Kelly, I just found out yesterday that my band slipped. I had surgery in June and started with the reflux in December. They did not do the upper GI until yesterday because insurance didn't cover my surgery. Now they want me to redo it but cannot say if it will not slip again. I have gone through so much in the last three months. My husband says it is coming out. We cannot afford to have gastric bypass and I don't know if I would want to take the risk of the complications and the permanency of it. I was really shocked it was only about six months from surgery date. He says it is only the second time it has happened and he cannot explain why.
  2. Hi, I am new to the chat room. I had similar problems. I was throwing up everything I ate or drank and was fine before that. My surgeon explained that once I started to throw up it irriated it making it worse. I had a lot of reflux especially when I was sleeping I would wake up choking. I had them unfill it and the problems went away for the most part. They also told me when I have had aggravations to only drink Clear liquids for 24 hrs and that seemed to help. Good luck
