  1. I have my initial surgeons appt next monday, so one week from today! I had to loose 5% of my body weight for my insurance to pay for the lapband, which was 15 pounds for me. I have already lost 5 pounds, painfully slow over the last several weeks, but I have 10 more to go. I decided to go on a liquid diet for this week to hopefully get the last 10 off by Monday. If I do succeed, I will be able to schedule surgery right away and will hopefully be banded in August! If I dont succeed, I will have to go to my local doctor and have my weight loss documented by him and the process will take longer... I decided to do slim fast/ sugar free carnation instant breakfast and some fruit to get me through the week. I might give up fruit in a day or too if I can stand it. Its so helpful knowing that I am not the only person going through this. We can do it, I know we can! I created a sort of "tunnel" vision for myself where I am just not thinking about anything other than next monday and weighing in and knowing that I did it! :whoo:
