  1. I was in the same boat. I had surgery on January 22nd, 2025 and my birthday was this past Sunday (February 16th). My surgery was my birthday present to myself. My son offered to take me somewhere to eat, but I told him I couldn't and he was okay with that and so was I. There will be a time when I can have something, but for me it will be much later in my process. Happy belated birthday.
  2. It's going great for me. I am down 26 pounds since surgery (probably more now). Feeling great, got loads of energy, A1C has improved, not completely where it needs to be, but closer. Getting my proteins and hydration in daily. I have always loved the great outdoors, so I have been enjoying getting out and walking when the weather isn't so cold; able to easily walk 2 miles now. I live in Texas and she lives in Virginia, so I have only been in contact with her through messenger. She seems to be doing good too, but I don't know her stats. I know she is eating solids already. I don't get to move to solids (hopefully) until March 3rd.
  3. Me and one of my nieces already had our surgery on January 22nd.
  4. I was sleeved on January 22, 2025. I just turned 57 on Sunday (February 16th). I feel great have loads of energy and have lost 26 pounds since surgery.
