Sleeved 12/15, and went to our annual Chinese Food dinner last night for Christmas. I discovered the joy of egg drop soup! It tasted great, and while everyone had their meal, I gently separated the egg bits from the soup and ate the one bowl. I was comfortable, not deprived and for the first time since the surgery felt like I had the energy I had pre-surgery.

Getting better every day. Looking forward to seeing the doctor on Monday morning, and hopefully I can move to the pureed stage.

Already down a solid 25 lbs from my all time high before the pre-op. Feeling hopeful.

Had my surgery 12/15, recouping and still in pain. On the full liquid stage looking forward to the purée stage. Start weight 207, surgery weight 187, and todays weight 174. couldn’t be happier in starting a healthier 2022! Good luck everyone!

I agree with MayMay21. I just had surgery on Monday 12/20.... but my first day and a half home I was so weak and nauseated that trying to drink protein shakes made me vomit almost immediately . So the last 2 mornings I've started slowly with one water then, 15 minutes later I switch to a mix of half ounce water & a half ounce protein shake for most of the rest of the day. I've been able to keep it down and now I feel much better...no more weakness, dizziness or nausea. Good luck!

I had the same protein aversion. My tip, fill a cup halfway with ice and water, then fill the rest with the protein water. It’s not a super high amount but it helped my weakness and I cold actually drink it. I had my surgery 12/10. I have weak days and normal days. I realize that if I consume half a protein shake within half hour of waking I’ll have a better day. This after I was able to actually drink the shakes
