Just joined today…surgery in 9 days, I'm a week into the two week liquid pre op diet my surgeon does to shrink the liver and feeling good! So I've hopped on here knowing that I will need a group to support me in this life changing journey and in turn hope to support others who come behind me! 
 
I lost 100 pounds on Weight Watchers about ten years ago and kept it off for four years, began leading meetings for them and loved moving through the world in a healthy weight body but I gained it back and more…I know this is a common story but when I started to hear and see people who have had this procedure I knew it was for me. 
 
Most of my friends and family have been very supportive, they may not chose this for themselves but know that I think it's the right choice for me. I have about 120 lbs to lose to get to a healthy weight. 
 
I run a family daycare and have done this for 22 years. I just started back to get my masters in Mental Health Counseling. I am married with three mostly grown children. I am ridiculously outgoing, much to the dismay of my children. I'm looking forward to meeting members of this group! 
 
I've never had major surgery so am nervous, I think it just feels like the ultimate loss of control! 
Well worth it but that's where my head is at this point.
