Hi,

I had the gastric sleeve surgery in Mexico on December 2, 2013.

I was browsing the internet and found bariatricpal.com

After I was terminated after working for the company for 16 years in October 2013, I was determined NOT to be a failure at something else and that is when I decided to have the gastric sleeve surgery as quickly as I could because I did not want to be overweight any longer, so I contacted weightlossagents.com and risked having my gastric sleeve surgery done in Mexico. The only problem I had after the surgery was a slight staph infection on one of the wounds of which cleared up within two weeks after a series of antibiotics.

The good parts about the surgery is that I did not feel any different for the first two weeks after the surgery. To the point where I thought that they did not do the surgery. However, looking at the five wounds was proof that I did have the surgery. I did not get nauseated or sick. That did not happen until almost a month after the surgery when I ate the wrong thing. (Ohh another good thing is that you can only eat very, very small amounts of food at a time. It is amazing to see how much food restaurants serve you and how much you were eating in the past. I have thrown away a lot of food, so I rather cook at home or go to a buffet to where I can pick and choose how much to put on my plate.) That is the bad part about the surgery is that you don't know how you'll react to certain foods until you eat them. Further, on several occasions after eating the wrong foods or too much of the food, I would get nauseated and would have to lay down in the bed. A couple of times I dry heaved and that was draining. Finally, I have to drink at least 4 sixteen ounce bottles of water per day or else I'll urinate bright yellow.

I hope to benefit from the surgery by being in great health to where I am no longer diabetic, establish good cholesterol and no longer have high blood pressure. In addition, I hope to meet my future husband as I have been alone for far too long. Finally, I am ultimately looking forward to looking #&@! good and feeling good.

I hope to benefit from bariatricpal in connecting to other members and sharing the journey of weight loss together.

I have a nice personality and hoping to expand it even further. I have a great sense of humor and am generous to a fault; at times. Unfortunately being overweight has caused me to be some-what introverted, so I rarely interacted with others outside of employment and I want to change that.

FOOD is no longer my master!
