takroom got a reaction from 13BC in Why am I a Slowwwwwwwww loser?
Newgrandmother- hello darling, you know you're not alone. I too am a slow loser or am I? Guess you can look at either way. I would have never lost 56 lbs in 6 mos on my own. Or, if I did, I'd surely be slowly packing back on the pounds by now. You will get there....as they say: slow & steady wins the race

takroom got a reaction from stepheff in I WANT A DIET COKE SO BAD...HOW CAN I FLAT IT OUT
Ok, enough brow beating for goodness sake. If you want a diet soda every once in a while, my Dr's advice, don't deny yourself. Treat yourself with a reward every once in a while. The surgery is a tool but we are human. We all have cravings & to deny yourself is basically not being realistic. I put lots of ice in mine & let it get watered down a bit or you can leave it sit out without the lid on to get flat. I can only drink a small amount & find once I've satisfied my craving I'm good again for quite a while.

takroom reacted to dat_sweetmami in IF YOU HAVE NOTHING NICE TO SAY...THEN DON'T SAY IT.
PEOPLE.....Please learn how to speak to 1 another and if you're not going to say something nice then don't write on the the forum. This is not a place to humiliate or degrade anyone. This is a place where we can come to each other ask each other for advice and to lean back on 1 another. Obviously because we might feel comfortable with the people on here and speaking to some of you who have gone through what were going through might be helpful. STOP THE NEGATIVITY...
AIN'T NOBODY GOT TIME FOR THAT!!!
GOD IS LOVE<3<3<3<3 PEACE

takroom got a reaction from No game in I WANT A DIET COKE SO BAD...HOW CAN I FLAT IT OUT
No Laura, not you, just in general in most posts. I know people are looking out for others beat interest & I completely understand that. I just feel that we really need a reality check once in a while & WLS is a tool. To say that you're never going to ever have something, like a diet soda, or whatever, is unrealistic.....maybe I'm just having a reality check kinda day

takroom got a reaction from Spirit Fire in How Did You Celebrate Getting to Goal?
I hit my goal & like a lot of us, went out & bought new clothes, bra(s), undies, shoes, boots, etc!!! It felt absolutely amazing to go in VS & shop & feel awesome about how I look! My joke used to be "Vicoria will have no secrets if I shop there", well that's in the past!

I was like that & mine was low potassium, low B12 & low Iron. The put me on liquid potassium, b12 shots & iron supplement. It has since went away & levels are now normal.
