About Me

I am a graduate student in Ohio and just finally getting settled in  after moving here back in September.  I have debated getting this  surgery for a number of years and have never had an insurance carrier  which would cover it.  I still don't, but now I have an income and an  option.  I am looking at going to Mexico to have it done there.  I have  always known, if I had weight loss surgery, it would be the lap band and  not another form.  The idea of permanently reorganizing your internal  organs like that is just awful!  I can't imagine there are any extensive  long term studies showing that can be good for you...

I live with two cats and am a crazy cat lady in training.  I have been a  vegetarian for almost five years and like the way, emotionally,  physically and spiritually.

I am still trying to figure out how to apply my education to a potential  career field.  I want to be involved with human rights work somehow but  I am still unsure of how to do that.  I guess I'll figure things out as  I go along...I always do.
