Dr. Raymond Taddeucci is a bariatric and weight loss surgeon located in and affiliated with Nebraska Surgery Center. Dr. Taddeucci has 19 years of experience performing Lap-Band and other weight loss surgery. Currently 31 of our members have Dr. Taddeucci listed as their Lap Band Surgeon.

Dr. Raymond Taddeucci grew up in St. Louis, MO and made the move to Nebraska in 1991 to attend Creighton University. He majored in chemistry and went on to attend Creighton University School of Medicine. Seeing that Nebraska was indeed “The Good Life”, he stayed at Creighton and completed his general surgery residency in 2005. Laparoscopic surgery, also known as minimally invasive surgery, has always interested Dr. Taddeucci. He was selected for a one-year fellowship in minimally invasive surgery at the University of Tennessee-Memphis. The primary focus of this training was weight loss surgery, including laparoscopic Roux-en-Y gastric bypass, laparoscopic adjustable gastric banding, and gastric bypass revision surgery. During this year of training he became proficient in all aspects of weight loss surgery, including pre-operative and post-operative care. To date, Dr. Taddeucci has performed over 350 Lap-Band procedures and over 100 laparoscopic gastric bypasses. He is the author or co-author of 10 national journal articles and eight national conference presentations on the topics of minimally invasive and bariatric surgery. He was a presenter at the 2006 American Society of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery conference. Dr. Taddeucci joined Surgical Associates, PC in August 2006. He is certified by the American Board of Surgery and is a member of the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery. Surgical Associates,PC -Bariatric Division is the only group in Lincoln, NE accredited by the Surgical Review Corporation as ASMBS Center of Excellence approved surgeons. Surgeries are performed at St.Elizabeth Regional Medical Center and The Nebraska Surgery Center, both of which are ASMBS Centers of Excellence accredited hospitals. SERMC is also a Blue Cross Center of Distinction. Dr.Taddeucci is approved by BLIS, which is essentially a temporary insurance program for patients paying out of pocket for their procedure. We offer in-office fluoroscopy for easy and accurate band fills, each fill usually taking less than 10 minutes to perform. All patients are seen by Dr.Taddeucci at every office visit.
