Dr. James Scott is a bariatric and weight loss surgeon located in and affiliated with DePaul Health Center. Dr. Scott has 21 years of experience performing Lap-Band and other weight loss surgery. Currently 82 of our members have Dr. Scott listed as their Lap Band Surgeon.

He is nationally-recognized for his proficiency and expertise in many laparoscopic procedures. As national laboratory director for the American Society of Bariatric Surgeons, Dr. Scott has overseen the training provided to surgeons interested in surgical techniques and overall management of the morbidly obese. He is designated as a Center of Excellence surgeon by the American Society for Bariatric and Metabolic Surgery.[/color]

[color=#000000]Dr. Scott graduated from the University of Missouri School of Medicine in 1986. He completed his internship and residency in General Surgery at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach, Florida in 1991, and went into private practice the same year.[/color][/font][/size]
