Dr. Juan Gutierrez is a bariatric and weight loss surgeon located in and affiliated with Munroe Regional Medical Center. Currently 5 of our members have Dr. Gutierrez listed as their Lap Band Surgeon.

Dr. Gutierrez serves on staff at Munroe Regional Medical Center specializing in minimally invasive and robotic approaches to bariatric and general surgery procedures. This results in superior outcomes over traditional surgery, including a lower complication rate, less postoperative pain, a faster return to normal activities, and better cosmetic results.

Dr. Gutierrez is board-certified in general surgery by the American Board of Surgery and is an Assistant Professor of Surgery at the University of Central Florida. He is an active member of multiple groups and societies, including the American College of Surgeons, the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons, and the American Society for Metabolic & Bariatric Surgery. He is fluent in Spanish and spends his free time enjoying the many outdoor activities available in North and Central Florida.
