Jennifer Choi, M.D.

Dr. Jennifer Choi is a bariatric and weight loss surgeon located in and affiliated with Indiana University Health North Hospital. Dr. Choi has 16 years of experience performing Lap-Band and other weight loss surgery. Currently 10 of our members have Dr. Choi listed as their Lap Band Surgeon.

Dr. Jennifer Choi is a native of Princeton, Indiana. She graduated with Honors in chemistry from Taylor University. She then graduated from Indiana University School of Medicine in 2001 where she was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Society for Academic Honors. She completed her general surgery residency at Indiana University School of Medicine. She subsequently completed additional training in minimally invasive techniques and bariatric surgery at IU Health Bariatric & Medical Weight Loss. She is now an Assistant Professor of Surgery at Indiana University School of Medicine and is the assistant program director of the General Surgery Residency. Dr. Choi is certified by the American Board of Surgery. She is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of Society for Surgery of the Alimentary Tract, Society of American Gastrointestinal Endoscopic Surgeons, and the Association for Surgical Education. In addition to bariatric surgery, Dr. Choi has an interest in minimally invasive surgical techniques and in surgical education.
