Dr. Monty Cox is a bariatric and weight loss surgeon located in and affiliated with Frye Regional Medical Center & Catawba Valley Medical Center. Dr. Cox has 16 years of experience performing Lap-Band and other weight loss surgery. Currently 20 of our members have Dr. Cox listed as their Lap Band Surgeon.

Dr. Montgomery H. Cox is a bariatric surgeon on staff at Frye Regional Medical Center and Catawba Valley Medical Center. Dr. Cox completed his medical degree and residency at the Medical University of South Carolina. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a Fellow of the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS). Dr. Cox performs laparoscopic gastric bypass, laparoscopic adjustable gastric banding procedures (Lap-Band and Realize Band), and laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy. He has a special interest in single-incision laparoscopic surgery (SILS) for band and sleeve gastrectomy procedures.
