He served his rotating internship at Government General Hospital in Madras, India. He completed his residency at Catholic Medical Center of Brooklyn and Queens, Jamaica, New York. He has been performing the Laparoscopic Adjustable Gastric Banding (LAGB) or LAP-BAND® System procedure since October, 2002.
