He received his medical degree from the University of South Carolina School of Medicine and completed his internship and residency in general surgery at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. Dr. Schuricht has a clinical interest in minimally invasive laparoscopic surgery with an emphasis on weight loss surgery. He has written numerous papers on cancer and laparoscopic issues as well as lectured on surgical techniques locally, regionally and internationally.
