Thought I would lighten up this thread. It's been a little intense in here.

I think I am going to make some sugar free Jell-O shots tonight.

I'm from Kentucky. My surgery is at 7:30 in the morning.

My surgeon said something at my initial consultation that I keep in mind always. "You won't be able to take this weight off without weight loss surgery. Your body will not let you and will fight you all the way." After years of yo-yo dieting and trying every program I saw, I know this is true.
I am over 3 weeks post-op, down 38lbs (some of this was pre-op diet) and although it wasn't easy, it is purposeful discomfort and I have had no complications.

I'm on day 9 and it's not that I'm hungry it's just that my body craves the things I cannot have. Every damn Taco Bell commercial I see makes me want to punch the TV. Lol

My surgery is the 9th as well! If you need a buddy along the way, contact me!

I am also having my surgery this Monday. I am beyond excited! ????
I've been on the 2 week liquid diet & have lost 20 pounds. These last couple of days have been the hardest, but I keep my mind on Monday. It will be here shortly. Good luck to everyone!!! ????????

My date is November 9th, too, I was tentatively going to be in January, but my surgeon had a cancellation and I was given the option. I have a two week liquid diet also, it's actually not as horrible as I imagined!
Something clicked in my brain today, though, once I saw November it just got real!! I'm excited, too, but nervous.

This year at Thanksgiving, I can be thankful for the surgery! That's good enough of a day for me! =P

@@Miss_Sleeve_Bound I'm heading into week 2 of the pre-op liquid diet and it's hard. I've found the only thing that gets me through the afternoon crash is making sure I have (at least one) of the pre-made Protein drinks in my purse. That way, when I am about to lose it, I just crack one open and it really does help.
The past week at my job had all these random catered Snacks and free goodies - things I've never seen in 3 years there! Every time I wanted one, I just headed for my Protein Drink. That didn't prevent me from sneaking a few bites of something (oops) and honestly, I still want tacos, but with determination we can do it.
Keep your head up, and remember it's not forever! You (We!) can do this!

I've been able to deal with the Premier Protein pretty well. The chocolate is the best in my opinion (but it's not wonderful lol). I got mine at Walmart.

Hang in there. I'm at on day 7 preop liquids and it is extremely hard to remain as strict as I need to be. I woke up this morning and walked by 2 giant bowls of Halloween candy. Then went right into the bathroom where in the first time in 3 years I was able to weigh myself on my bathroom scale.
You have the willpower to do this! Forget your mistakes and move forward!
