I"m on my pre-op diet as well but mine is for 14 days! GROSS! I started today... i tried the strawberry Protein shake! too gross.. i wanted to barf! i don't know how i'm gonna get through this! i'm getting a hungry headache! blah!

We will make it. I kinda messed up and didnt bring my Protein Drink to work with me and I work twelve hours today so im pretty light headed as well.:tongue_smilie:

Im with you both but mine is 14 days also. Im getting a headache now too! Great! Im struggling and debating so many ideas!!! Lapband is the answer everytime!!!

If you're not on any specific Protein Shake and are looking for one that tastes great! Try Jay Robb, they are low in calories, fat and carbs but high in Protein. www.jayrobb.com! They taste fantastic! I use them with some psyllium husk powder which keeps your regular. I PROMISE this will be work your struggles. Im drinking the whey Protein but the only thing is that my surgeon doesnt want me to mix it with anything but Water. No soy milk or juice. GROSS.:)

OMG...this is day one and my tummy is making all sorts of noises. This is truly "hell week"but I guess no pain no gain.

I have surgery 7/31 and I start my pre-op diet on the 17th. I wanted to get a head start but my doctor did not suggest a Protein drink, only for me to cut my carbs and a list of food to have and some in moderation. Should I try the Protein Drinks instead to help me shrink my liver?

      Well, tomorrow I go in for an impromptu hiatal hernia repair after ending up in the ER over the weekend because I couldn't get food down and water was moving at a trickle... I've been having these symptoms on and off for a few weeks but Sunday was the worst by far and came with chest pain and trouble breathing. The ER PA thinks it is just esophagitis and that the surgeon and radiologist are wrong. But the bariatric surgeon swears it is a hernia, possibly a sliding one based on my symptoms. So he fit me into his schedule this week to repair it! I hope he's right and this sorts it out. He's going to do a scope afterwards to be sure there is nothing wrong with the esophagus. Here's hoping it all goes well!!
