Hello everyone! I thought I should share my story. I am 42 years old. I Was never really overweight when I was younger but in my early 30s weight started to creep on. To the point that I went from 125 lbs at 31 up to my highest of 245 lbs at 39 years old in 2020. When I got to that point I started trying everything to lose weight. But to no avail. Nothing seemed to work. In April 2022 I went to a seminar to learn about different weight loss surgeries. I then decided to do it. My first appointment with my surgeon I decided that the gastric sleeve would be best for me. My surgery date was 11/30/22. I had gotten down to 217 from 245 by then. Now six months later i am officially 100 total lbs lost! 72 since surgery. I am 145 today which puts me in a normal bmi range. I only need to lose 15 more to get to my goal! I am no longer diabetic, my A1C was 7.1 in October. Got it tested last week it is now 4.9! I no longer have high blood pressure and I feel great! If anyone reading this is considering surgery, don’t be scared to get it. It was the best decision I have ever made! Thank you for reading this! ❤️

Have a great Wednesday too! Sorry you're hungry all the time, I'm pretty much the same..and I'm sick of eating the same food all the time.

Well, tomorrow I go in for an impromptu hiatal hernia repair after ending up in the ER over the weekend because I couldn't get food down and water was moving at a trickle... I've been having these symptoms on and off for a few weeks but Sunday was the worst by far and came with chest pain and trouble breathing. The ER PA thinks it is just esophagitis and that the surgeon and radiologist are wrong. But the bariatric surgeon swears it is a hernia, possibly a sliding one based on my symptoms. So he fit me into his schedule this week to repair it! I hope he's right and this sorts it out. He's going to do a scope afterwards to be sure there is nothing wrong with the esophagus. Here's hoping it all goes well!!

Having gall bladder surgery in a few days and I so hope the recovery is easier than the one from the modified DS! I could use a bit of luck/pep talk for a change. I'm starting to be able to walk around without experiencing dizziness, but it would be great if the random pain in my chest and abdomen would go away!!
