I am having issues with cramping nausea, and heart burn after sipping clear liquids. I am taking Pepcid twice a day and Zofran too. How do you manage these symptoms, so you can continue to drink?

I'm dying here....

Thank you.

Did you doctor prescribe anything for cramps? When I had my ESG I was given buscopan in my meds kit. It helped a little plus a heat pack can also be helpful. If you Clear Liquids are cold try warm clear liquids, sometimes people can tolerate warm over cold more.

Thank you for your suggestions. I didn't get that script. I got pepcid. I did try M.O.M this a.m. with mild relief. I will try the heat pack and keep the warmer liquids.

I was prescribed a heart burn medication for 30 days after surgery. Ask for a script or you can buy at the store if you want but a script is so much cheaper. Pepcid is to reduce the acid already in the stomach. The other medication is called a proton pump inhibitor. It helps stop the production of stomach acid. The most common is called Omeprazole and its available over the counter called Prilosec in 20mg capsules. Or what i was prescribed was Pantroprazole 40mg. and that one i believe you need a script. Typically these medications you take in the morning and wait like an hour or so before you start eating or drinking.

Following my ESG for the first several days whenever I tried drinking Water it would feel as if I was drinking battery acid. My doctor recommended drinking Fairlife fat free milk. He recommended Fairlife since it is higher in Protein per serving. I was able to drink it without pain and kept me from getting dehydrated.

Having gall bladder surgery in a few days and I so hope the recovery is easier than the one from the modified DS! I could use a bit of luck/pep talk for a change. I'm starting to be able to walk around without experiencing dizziness, but it would be great if the random pain in my chest and abdomen would go away!!

      Today was rough...
I've been experiencing a headache all day today that just won't go away. I'm thinking it's now progressing into a migraine. Does anyone else get headaches from taking vitamin B12? I did some research and learned that usually a lack of B12 causes headaches. But I've noticed when I take it, I have reoccurring headaches. 😫
