Don't stock up too much before surgery; I did, and found that after surgery I couldn't stand the same drinks I chugged before! Ended up giving 3 12-packs away. Also-Ramen broth (of course, don't eat the noodles) was on my list of pre-op, and for some reason, it really, really helped.

Im confused, are we talking of Ramen noodle seasoning packets or the actual 32 oz box of Ramen broth you can get from Walmart?

Adding a serving of Benefiber to Protein Shakes helps some people feel fuller longer. The Fiber is filling.
I don't use Protein powders after discovering Fairlife Protein Drinks. There's no comparison.
I tried a failure shake today and it was the bomb compared to the Premier
My surgery is on the 29th. I started my liquid diet today a day early. I'm having the sleeve put in. I have a question? Will I be strong enough in 2weeks time after having sleeve surgery to have surgery on my foot? They have to.put screw in broken bone.

Yes as long as the podiatrist is ok putting you under so soon. After 2 weeks you should feel pretty normal, just lighter and more hopeful about the future!

I’d have your orthopedics surgeon and your bariatric surgeon maybe talk? Or let your Bariatric surgeon know about your foot repair. He may recommend you wait. What kind of surgery are you having? What did you break?

LOL I didn't know you could buy Ramen broth by itself. I am talking about the cheap "cook in the styrofoam cup" ramen noodles. Threw the noodles away. Made me wish I had a dog.

My all liquid diet starts tomorrow! Mine appears to to be even more restrictive than yours (I will put an * by what my liquid diet consists of).

Needless to say, I am not looking forward to this ha!

Hahahaha well -- we were put on the SAME restrictions now because they removed ALL dairy products since we discovered I'm lactose intolerant! So at least you get the pudding which used to be MY FAVORITE SNACK!!!!!! :( Good luck on it. Honestly, it's hard but once I made it past the first week the rest of it seemed to be a lot easier. I'm almost done. Just need to make it to Monday as my last day before surgery on this liquid diet but then I get to add Soups to it after surgery!

Have a great Wednesday too! Sorry you're hungry all the time, I'm pretty much the same..and I'm sick of eating the same food all the time.

Well, tomorrow I go in for an impromptu hiatal hernia repair after ending up in the ER over the weekend because I couldn't get food down and water was moving at a trickle... I've been having these symptoms on and off for a few weeks but Sunday was the worst by far and came with chest pain and trouble breathing. The ER PA thinks it is just esophagitis and that the surgeon and radiologist are wrong. But the bariatric surgeon swears it is a hernia, possibly a sliding one based on my symptoms. So he fit me into his schedule this week to repair it! I hope he's right and this sorts it out. He's going to do a scope afterwards to be sure there is nothing wrong with the esophagus. Here's hoping it all goes well!!

Having gall bladder surgery in a few days and I so hope the recovery is easier than the one from the modified DS! I could use a bit of luck/pep talk for a change. I'm starting to be able to walk around without experiencing dizziness, but it would be great if the random pain in my chest and abdomen would go away!!
