Hello again,

I was just wondering mainly people with PCOS did you guys have any luck with fertility?

I also have one ovary and I wondering something else, how did you guys prevent pregnancies.

For me, I had a severe reaction to the milli pill aka norethindrone-e.estradiol-iron (JUNEL FE 1/20) 1 mg-20 mcg (21)/75 mg

And I was just wondering did anyone use the arm implant or depicote shot if so did it prevent any pregnancies?

Post menopausal before my RNY. You have good questions! I used to tolerate Trilevelin, but with RNY pills are not advisable due to malabsorption. I have a co-worker friend (with PCOS) that takes the pill so she has no period ever. A different co-worker acquaintance had a complete hysterectomy. Logically, loosing fat will help the symptoms because fat stores hormones. I don’t really know how the implants would work for you, I avoided them because of the weight gain. I use(d) barrier methods, add spermicide/lube as needed.

I have PCOS and have been on Depo (the shot) for 5 years. I had VSG 9/2021. I can't speak to the fertility piece, as I am not trying to get pregnant. But I have not noticed any return in my PCOS symptoms, PMDD, or any other fertility related issues. The shot continues to work well to keep my symptoms at bay and I am losing weight steadily as hoped.

Still purging all of the larger clothing. This morning, a shirt that I ADORED wearing ended up on top. Hard to let it go, but it was also hard to let go of those habits that also no longer serve my highest good. Onward and upward!

Well, tomorrow I go in for an impromptu hiatal hernia repair after ending up in the ER over the weekend because I couldn't get food down and water was moving at a trickle... I've been having these symptoms on and off for a few weeks but Sunday was the worst by far and came with chest pain and trouble breathing. The ER PA thinks it is just esophagitis and that the surgeon and radiologist are wrong. But the bariatric surgeon swears it is a hernia, possibly a sliding one based on my symptoms. So he fit me into his schedule this week to repair it! I hope he's right and this sorts it out. He's going to do a scope afterwards to be sure there is nothing wrong with the esophagus. Here's hoping it all goes well!!
