Lady parts/large mons

Recommended Posts

Hello, I am just starting this process and I’ve looked through a ton of pages (not all cause I just started) and haven’t seen this asked really so wanted to throw it out there

right now my mons pubis is very large and protruding and heavy. I’ve never seen another body like mine even in all the BoPo movement and such on social. So I’m curious... has anyone had that before surgery and after is shrinks? I’m not worried about loose skin, I know I’ll need plastics after since I already have loose skin now at 300+. I’m just worried that I’ll lose weight and that it’ll stick out more and be more noticeable if it doesn’t lose weight too.

like I already can’t wear leggings or tight jeans because it looks like I’m packing junk. My legs have always been athletic so I think that doesn’t help in making it more obvious.

any advice or experience would be greatly appreciated!!!

When you lose weight you lose fat from all over your body (fingers, feet, neck, face as well as the expected tummy, legs, arms, butt & back) so it’s likely you’ll lose fat from there too cause it’s basically a fat pad. I’m definitely more boney down there.

Since you said you will need plastics afterwards, rest assured the plastic surgeon can take care of that for you. When you have a Tummy Tuck it also includes a mons lift. I found it to be quite impressive afterwards!

You will probably lose volume in that area (and all over) after WLS. That does unfortunately seem to always translate to some degree of loose skin. However a mons lift/reduction during plastics can fix it so don’t worry about it too much.

Mine was puffy too. My Tummy Tuck flattened it and lifted it (and seems to have delightfully tightened everything in that area up a bit as well).

Thank you for asking this question. I've certainly wondered about this myself.

Hi, I had surgery on 5/18 and I can see a slight difference but glad to know that the Tummy Tuck will make the most significant changes. I definitely have a larger fupa that hangs low.

Still purging all of the larger clothing. This morning, a shirt that I ADORED wearing ended up on top. Hard to let it go, but it was also hard to let go of those habits that also no longer serve my highest good. Onward and upward!

Well, tomorrow I go in for an impromptu hiatal hernia repair after ending up in the ER over the weekend because I couldn't get food down and water was moving at a trickle... I've been having these symptoms on and off for a few weeks but Sunday was the worst by far and came with chest pain and trouble breathing. The ER PA thinks it is just esophagitis and that the surgeon and radiologist are wrong. But the bariatric surgeon swears it is a hernia, possibly a sliding one based on my symptoms. So he fit me into his schedule this week to repair it! I hope he's right and this sorts it out. He's going to do a scope afterwards to be sure there is nothing wrong with the esophagus. Here's hoping it all goes well!!
