Glad the patch works for you. I asked my surgeon and dietitian about the patch right before surgery and again after. Received the same response both times - NO. They say the Patches dont have enough of what I need. Ugh. But, at this point, I really want a patch. So, I'm going to do more research about them and see how they compare. Pill form is just a nuisance so far

I'm spending money on different options and so far, none work.

Thanks!

I use the patch as well. My blood work has been better than before surgery. 😊

Ok. Sounds good

Is it the same patch? Patch MD Multivitamin?

I would really like to use a patch if it really works as good as oral options. That's what I wanted from the very beginning.

My surgeon has his patients do the Multivitamin patch plus a B12 patch for the first month then switch to the chewable Celebrate ADEK (or other brand of bariatric vitamins) and chewable calcium citrate with D3 and chewable Iron (if needed).

Thanks so much for the information. Did your surgeon say why he wanted people to switch from using the patch after the first month?

Hello everyone,

I'm writing to ask for your help. I still have not found a daily Multivitamin that works for me. My program recommended that we use chewable for the first 2 months, starting after 2 weeks. So, at Week 3 I started the Bariatric Fusion chewable. My tummy did not like the first kind I had. So, I ordered a different flavor. Stomach was ok with second flavor, but I hated the chalky taste. I talked with my program about it at my 2 month follow up. I could move to capsules. So, I ordered capsules from Bariatric fusion. I was already using a supplemental Vitamin from them and just adding it to my Protein Shake. That was working from the 1 month mark. So, I got the Multivitamin in a capsule, added it to a Protein shake, oh no. Totally horrible. The multivitamin stinks like crazy and is so nasty. Odd, because the supplement is fine.

So, before I spend even more money on multivitamin option #4, I'm writing to ask what is working for you all. What are you using that is not upsetting to your tummy and goes down easy. My program does not want me swallowing any large pills until month 4 so that's part of this adventure also. I can't just buy a multivitamin that comes in big pill form and they say it must be bariatric specific, not just a regular multivitamin. I'm considering BariMelts next. Just tired of wasting money. Plus, scared of the impact of not consistently taking Vitamins so far. Bloodwork is not until Month 4 check up. I feel fine. Just want to be doing the right things during this journey.

Thanks!

I’m doing the multi vitamin patches too. I tried several Vitamins but couldn’t tolerate any of them. So my doc said the patch would be a good alternative.

Hello April Sleevers,

We hit another month mark this week. It's been four months for some of us. Just wanted to reach out to ask how everyone is doing.

I'm coping with a stall, but I understand that happens at times during this process. Will work on increasing Water and exercise this weekend to see if that helps shake it. Enjoyed trying on smaller clothes. First time I really bought clothes during this process versus shopping in my own closet was fun but confusing. Trying to figure out which clothing size I really am right now.

Hope you're doing ok.🙂

Hello everyone, April 7th was my surgery sleeve date. And it has been an amazing roller coaster. Down 98 pounds. First half of day is liquid Protein Shakes Breakfast And lunch. Then for dinner I move to solid food chicken mainly. The clothes and closet experience has been to shocking to me. In a good way of course. But overall just a amazing experience. Hope everyone else is doing well.

Hello everyone! My surgery date was April 27, I am down 70lbs from my liquid diet and 60 from the day I went into surgery. Size 20-size 14(I would be a size 12 but I have big hips and a big bottom still) for workouts I’m hiking, walking, starting to run, swimming, yoga(hot yoga is my favorite) and HIIT. In the mornings I eat my Protein yogurt then I’ll snack around 11, then I’ll eat my lunch which is a piece of cheese and feta and olive salad, then I do a Protein Shake for dinner I do chicken or salmon. I can’t do beef and I’m real careful about pork. I’m drinking tons of water! I’m so happy I can have salads and fruits now. Hope everyone is doing well.

Hi,

I'm also 4 mos out with a stall between 192-195. I'm also became caretaker for my elderly Mom so lots of stress going on here. I know how that can impact a person's health but at least I'm not gaining. Still thrilled to be in "onederland" and really enjoying breaks I get from other fam members so I can do my. Reformer Pilates classes where my focus is now cardio/sculpt. I also hop on my treadmill at home buty Water intake has really taken a dive. Need to work on that. The great news is that my A1c # for diabetes no longer requires meds. I'm so, so, happy about that🙂. Btw, my highest history of weight gain was 261, pre-op was 245 to 235 from the week fast, and now 192. Goal is 150 since I am 5'6". I had the revision from lap band to gastric sleeve. My niece had the bypass and she said that her stall required her to go back on Protein Shakes 3x a day un order to trigger more weight loss and so far she has lost 100 pounds. I think I will be trying that, too. Good luck to everyone and I love seeing the pics Mizzkay! You look awesome. Blueslily, thx for keeping this topic alive. I'm right there with you on the stall. We can do this!

Sincerely,

Trish

Stalls are normal my love. Things that help me with stalls are relaxing and knowing it’s temporary. Also measuring helps. Switch up your workout routine a little too. My friend who had the surgery said she carb loads to break a stall, I personally can’t have carbs because they make me sick. I take care of myself everyday and I love to relax in the tub burn some incense and take time for me. I don’t weigh myself everyday anymore like I was. Our bodies like certain weights and have a hard time coming out of them. But just like the 3-4 week stall we had back a few months ago this one will pass too!

Hello All, I had sleeve April 15, total down 55 pounds. I was stalling alot it seemed until I started grazing and than it's slow but steady weight loss. The full meal's were not working for me. I am amazed at how food changes constantly. I was loving watermelon and now can't tolerate and eggs. And things I didn't like before surgery I am enjoying now. So strange. Anyway, keep up the good work and I hope we all talk again 5 months out. Peace

OMG! My time is quickly approaching! I can't believe in 5 days, my life will be changed forever (for the better!). I have thought about this surgery for years, but kept telling myself I didn't need it. Now that I can view it as a tool and not a solution, I realize I do need this tool. This tool will not only help me physically, but mentally as well!

Getting close - 196 lbs as of this week.  Goal is 195.  Actually, I'm thinking of adjusting my goal.  I'd like to get down to 185 to get rid of this scraggly belly jiggle, then try to build back up to 200 with muscle instead.

I’m a complete novice on forums but I think my experience I’ve had so far following a gastric balloon insertion will be interesting to someone…
I had my obera 365 inserted on 31/08/21.
