Is anyone on a schedule for eating. I eat bkfst at 9am, lunch 12pm, snack 3pm, and dinner 6pm. Wondering if anyone still eats at the same time every day. How many times you eat a day?

I eat to a schedule because I found on days I’m not hungry, eating to a schedule ensures I get calories in & meet my Protein goals. Generally I eat breakfast at 8:30am, snack at 11:30am, occasional snack at 1:30pm if I’m hungry, lunch at 3pm, snack at 5pm, dinner at 6:30pm, snack at 8pm. Sometimes a little earlier or a little later depending on what my day entails. That’s a lot of snacking but if I don’t my weight drops. My Snacks are yoghurt, cheese, fruit, multigrain crackers or Protein Bar. It took almost a year in maintenance to find the right volume of food I needed to consume to stop me losing. If I start to gain, I can always drop a snack or two.

      Well, tomorrow I go in for an impromptu hiatal hernia repair after ending up in the ER over the weekend because I couldn't get food down and water was moving at a trickle... I've been having these symptoms on and off for a few weeks but Sunday was the worst by far and came with chest pain and trouble breathing. The ER PA thinks it is just esophagitis and that the surgeon and radiologist are wrong. But the bariatric surgeon swears it is a hernia, possibly a sliding one based on my symptoms. So he fit me into his schedule this week to repair it! I hope he's right and this sorts it out. He's going to do a scope afterwards to be sure there is nothing wrong with the esophagus. Here's hoping it all goes well!!
