Help! Mushy food depression!

Please give me yummy mushy food ideas! I am three weeks out and on soft foods only and ALL I want to eat is some kind of carbs and crackers and REAL FOOD!!! What are you guys eating that is making you feel like you’re eating real food? I’ve made chicken meatballs and had turkey burgers and I’m just going crazy. Trying so hard to make this work, but I’m supposed to be on soft foods only for three months and I have no idea how I am going to go three months without a cracker or something.

My main meal during this phase was turkey chili that was cooking in a slow cooker all day.

I’m on soft foods for 5 weeks. So far I’ve made savoury mince, slow cooked lamb shanks, bolognaise, meatloaf, slow cooked curry, ricotta bake

I found some recipes on bariatric foodie and bariatric bits websites that look pretty good. I am currently on my last day of liquids so tomorrow I get to transition to "mushy" food :) good luck!

I add Italian seasoned ground turkey to the ricotta bake, it tastes exactly like lasagna. My non WLS family loves it.

Smoked salmon dip eaten with a spoon: 4 oz salmon; 2/3 cup Tzatziki: 1/3 cup ricotta to add firmness; capers. 2 oz serving; 80 cals, 9 G Protein.< /p>

      I am 19 days post op and I am still struggling to drink the fluids. I am not even able to drink the protein shakes their now nasty to me , I tried the protein bars & it didn’t end well. I have chest pains & I can barely eat. I am weak & my mouth is always dry, and feeling nauseous. Can anyone provide any advise. At least I doing the vitamins. Recently my chest & stomach have a burning sensation.

      I am a week post op and I honestly feel like crap! I keep feeling so nauseous and I can’t get my self to drink a good amount of water. I honestly feel very regretful today. When does it get better?

        By the third week you will feel some relief. Don't push yourself too much with quantity that first week. I just made sure to keep sipping and walking which helped me feel better.

      I have my surgery scheduled for 07/15/2021! I'm so excited! I began implementing the pre-op diet (essentially low carb) that my nutritionist gave me today! So far a pretty rough day- I didn't realize how much I graze throughout the day. But I'm excited to get these habits broken, and take control over my relationship with food!

      So far the LSD has not been bad. I have had no headaches and no complaints of hunger or cravings. Shake for breakfast, sugar-free jello for a snack, shake for lunch, another for snack, small dinner of protein and veggies and another shake for evening snack with 64 oz. of water throughout the day. I thought it was going to be hell but so far so good.
