Went to the hospital's clinical nutritionist today, and she told me to eat more oats and try healthy cereals. I am so glad that someone has given me "permission" to eat grain. I have a stressful relationship with grains😬
I felt the same way about sandwiches. The dietician said I was being too strict with myself about them and that I should try to reintroduce them. I "can" or more like allow myself them now and it hasnt affected me too much now that Im trying to hold a stable weight. Not to mention, I can just cut them out again if I want to lose weight again.
I hear you. I was happy when I could add some grains too. I added multi grain rice crackers which I use to carry avocado, hummus & liverwurst (poor man’s pate lol) for my snacks. I was already eating rolled oats for breakfast about 3/4 days a week but now have it most days. The grains help with regulating the bowels & also help with eradicating that slightly gaunt, hollow look weight loss leaves on our faces. Yay!
