When did you stop loosing weight?

Recommended Posts

I’m 5 months out and I’ve stalled out (it’s been about 2.5 weeks with no loss). Is this it? Can I hope to loose more or am I done? When did you stop loosing after gastric sleeve.

You'll keep losing for 12-18 months. It's just a stall. Hang in there and stick with the program.

I had my surgery 2 days before you. I thought I might just be done losing also, until I went extreme with Protein and upped my calories to 1100 and the scale moved!

I'm an RNY patient, but I finally stopped losing at around 18 or 20 months out (can't remember - it's been awhile). It does slow down quite a bit after the six-month mark, though (and even more after the one-year mark) - and stalls (at least for me) became more frequent and lasted longer. There were several times I thought "this is it", but then the weight loss would start up again...

I stalled at month 6 and continued to stall for 3 months until I tried Intermittent Fasting. It helped get the scale moving again!

Lost most weight in first 9 months...lost a little more weight, but ALOT of inches after started regular exercise! Do 1 hr of fast power walking and 1 hr of strength training every other day. Have done this for a year and dropped 2 more dress sizes.

I am about 10 months out and I am still losing, granted it has slowed tremendously but I'll take it!!!!!! TRUST THE PROCESS!!!!! Good luck to you on your journey...

Have a great Wednesday too! Sorry you're hungry all the time, I'm pretty much the same..and I'm sick of eating the same food all the time.

Well, tomorrow I go in for an impromptu hiatal hernia repair after ending up in the ER over the weekend because I couldn't get food down and water was moving at a trickle... I've been having these symptoms on and off for a few weeks but Sunday was the worst by far and came with chest pain and trouble breathing. The ER PA thinks it is just esophagitis and that the surgeon and radiologist are wrong. But the bariatric surgeon swears it is a hernia, possibly a sliding one based on my symptoms. So he fit me into his schedule this week to repair it! I hope he's right and this sorts it out. He's going to do a scope afterwards to be sure there is nothing wrong with the esophagus. Here's hoping it all goes well!!

Having gall bladder surgery in a few days and I so hope the recovery is easier than the one from the modified DS! I could use a bit of luck/pep talk for a change. I'm starting to be able to walk around without experiencing dizziness, but it would be great if the random pain in my chest and abdomen would go away!!
