Calorie app and calorie goals

Recommended Posts

So, after a while of not feeling good, the end conclusion that the doctors have made is that I am starving myself due to lack of calories. The chart even says that I show signs of borderline anorexia.

While I don't agree with the later, I am perfectly agreed that I need more food than the around 300 kcals daily I am currently eating, and have agreed under doubts to start counting my calories to make sure I eat at least 1000 each day. Ideally above 1500 due to I have an active lifestyle when not spending my time at bariatic pal and googeling stuff. To those who wonder, I have a strong belif that we who already have a fucked up mind in relations to food, don't need to add the stress of calorie counts as long as the food we eat is quality. My masters were in nutrition, and though I do not work with such today, I know roughly what's in the food I eat and I keep a rough head count.

SO. Which apps do you all use? I am trying to find one that doesn't cost money, and that I can choose from already added foods list so I don't need to add it all myself. Myfitnesspal and Lifesum seems to cost money to use.

I think Myfitnesspal has a free version. Some people use baritastic.

and yes - 300 kcal is WAY too low for someone six months out...I"m glad you're seeing a doctor.

I know. It is not a goal set. I just don't like much foods anymore and I have trouble swallowing.

Thank you, will check it out with myfitnesspal. My biggest hinge is if I have to add the foods with the macros myself for everthing, I'm am in fact to lazy and to big of a procastinator for that to be a success🤣

During the operation when the jam the hose down they damaged my throat so it has shrunk big time. Take that wit the WLS and i have a great mixture Not hungry and Hard to eat. ------========= Low calorie or Starvation diet!

I use the My Fitness Pal free version and it is great. The only thing so far that I want to do and can't is export data to my computer. I love the way it encourages me!

Since we are both in Scandinavian countries, I think that my opinion of MyFitnessPal might be useful (at least a little bit).

I was using it prior to moving to Denmark, and am still using it now that I live here. I can scan bar-codes of almost anything and get accurate information in return. However, some items will require that you create a food and yadda, yadda, yadda.

Without a subscription to the app, you can set up a calorie goal (which seems to be all you want atm) and track calories. It's when you want to track specific macros that a subscription becomes worth the cost. I believe that without a subscription they won't let you put your calorie limit below 1000, but I could be wrong. I've been paying for it for sometime because I prefer to track protein/carb/fat intake instead of calories. ♥

Hope it helps you. It really has kept me on track! If you ever want some 'friends' on there, feel free to add me - BoredFatGirl
