My primary physician sent me to him. Ideally, I was looking for a bariactric surgeon who was female and hot with big boobs, but I'll settle for a guy with 3000 (successful?) surgeries.

Sorry, but I just can't let your comment go. Bariatric surgery involves huge physical changes, and for many women, it means substantial loss of in the boob department. The body changes are hard enough to cope with, and it doesn't help knowing there are men who value a woman by the size of her breasts. Your comment is insensitive to the successful female WLS patients on this forum.

Well, I wasn't talking about the boobs of women who have had surgery. I was only referring to my surgeon. I was hoping for a surgeon with big melons so that when she is bending over me I get an eyefull. It would certainly take my mind of the procedure and put me in a great mood. Even better if one of them accidentally brushes up against me.

Does that make me a bad person?

Yeah, he works out of TMC. Did your friend survive?

Yes, she survived and gave me the courage to get a referral to a bariatric surgeon. She also convinced her husband to do the surgery. While I was at UMC getting my surgery, he was at TMC getting his (also with your doc). My friend is 4 years post op and looks great and has been in maintenance mode since year one. Her husband is down 75 pounds since surgery and 8-10 inches off his waist. I am down 75 pounds since May 20 (surgery Sept 4), am below my surgeons goal, and near MY goal. Anyhow, I know others who also had your doc and they have all been happy with their results. I only went with a different doc because my PCP referred me to a different doc. Anyhow... he may not be a female with big boobs... but sounds like he is good at what he does, and I would prefer a skilled doc than a hot doc (although the hot doc is always a bonus).

Well, I am among those women who lose their boobs post op... but wasn't offended since the entire post was sarcastic and not just the comment about the boobs... but I do agree, it may have been offensive to some.

Unfortunately , I offend a lot of people. If its not the body odor, then its my abrasive personality. I've been told I have the personality of 120 grit sandpaper.

And I am in sales. Go figure.

Oh, and I sincerely hope to lose my man boobs someday.

And see my penis again.

BTW the important question to ask the surgeon is if they will perform the operation in its entirety. I was not open to being a teaching case with this, though I did let students check out the results during rounds.

BTW, it's the anesthesiologist who will be bending over your face to shove an endotracheal tube down your throat - not the surgeon. And it pays to be nice to the anesthesiologist - they are the ones who keep you alive AND comfortable during the procedure.

As I mentioned on another thread here, I'm going to sign a form to decline anesthesia.

My holistic wiccan healer is giving me a potion of mineral Water and a pinch of jasmine to help deal with any discomfort.

I also have a special chant to drive away negative thoughts.

I've been trolling this forum for months, and its been a wealth of information.
Things are starting to get real, as my insurance company says I will have a decision within 5 days. My doctor says they kinda have to say yes.
On my surgeon's web page,it says he's done over 3000 procedures. Now, I'm a man that isn't scared of a whole lot. I race cars, shoot guns, wrestle grizzly bears for fun (well, two out of three ain't bad) and I usually just duct tape my wounds and walk it off.
But I'm 59 and I am thinking about death a lot.
What is my surgeon gets bored and falls asleep?
I guess I should make a will. I don't want the state to get my dogs or my guns if I die. Or my collection of studded leather BDSM gear.

Too bad you love so far away. I'd totally tell you to will your BDSM to me. Bwahaha! Btw I used to live in Gila bend. Tuscon was a nice place. Gila bend sucked big ones. Best of luck on your surgery!!

Having gall bladder surgery in a few days and I so hope the recovery is easier than the one from the modified DS! I could use a bit of luck/pep talk for a change. I'm starting to be able to walk around without experiencing dizziness, but it would be great if the random pain in my chest and abdomen would go away!!

      Today was rough...
I've been experiencing a headache all day today that just won't go away. I'm thinking it's now progressing into a migraine. Does anyone else get headaches from taking vitamin B12? I did some research and learned that usually a lack of B12 causes headaches. But I've noticed when I take it, I have reoccurring headaches. 😫
