I’m trying to rally round some more specific support for people that are Sleeve to RNY (either pre or post op RNY). Not sure the best way to do this. I did create a group.... anyone interested? It’s called “Revision Journey.” Anyone interested?

I am just getting on to these forums. I just had my revision surgery on 9/26/19. I am interested in your Revision Journey.

I would be interested. I had the sleeve in 2013, lost 70, gained back 55 so I just had the rny bypass a week ago. I felt like a failure with it not working the first time and recovery has been tougher then expected. I’m really struggling with the liquids only part, although not hungry. Just don’t want to make same mistakes again. Would love support

I am also interested in this. I have the sleeve in 2015, regained weight, and will be having RNY on October 29. I cannot find a lot of information on this and what I have found seems to suggest that much weight loss doesn’t occur. Would love to hear from those who have already had it.

What did you find most difficult with the revision?

I am going to revise sleeve to bypass 11/22 and would live to hear others experiences.

I had my sleeve done in 2017, lost 100 pounds, gained half of that back, and am now looking to have a revision to gastric bypass early next year. Am frustrated I failed the first time around, and that I didn’t go for a bypass in the first place. I’d be interested in joining the group.

I’d love to follow and join. I was sleeved Feb 2015 and lost 117 pounds. I gained 40 lbs of it back and some bile reflux. I’m scheduled to get revised to RNY on Oct 29th. I would love to hear more experiences with this revision.

It's been a bit of a struggle this last week...I'm hungry ALL the time.

Have a great Wednesday too! Sorry you're hungry all the time, I'm pretty much the same..and I'm sick of eating the same food all the time.

Well, tomorrow I go in for an impromptu hiatal hernia repair after ending up in the ER over the weekend because I couldn't get food down and water was moving at a trickle... I've been having these symptoms on and off for a few weeks but Sunday was the worst by far and came with chest pain and trouble breathing. The ER PA thinks it is just esophagitis and that the surgeon and radiologist are wrong. But the bariatric surgeon swears it is a hernia, possibly a sliding one based on my symptoms. So he fit me into his schedule this week to repair it! I hope he's right and this sorts it out. He's going to do a scope afterwards to be sure there is nothing wrong with the esophagus. Here's hoping it all goes well!!

Having gall bladder surgery in a few days and I so hope the recovery is easier than the one from the modified DS! I could use a bit of luck/pep talk for a change. I'm starting to be able to walk around without experiencing dizziness, but it would be great if the random pain in my chest and abdomen would go away!!
