I am on all chewables- my Multivitamin, calcium citrate (I use Bariatric Advantage chews), Vitamin D3 and a disolvable under tongue sublingual B12. Going to get my blood work done first time this week after surgery for my 3 months and we will see if they are working.

I use the Centrum fruity chewables but they’re more suckables than chewables. They taste lovely so they probably don’t give me enough stuff!
Before surgery, I used to take daily Turmeric with vit D, I’ve not found anyone who can tell me whether it’s alright to continue them. They come from The Golden Paste company

FYI I am 18 months out and did check with my surgeon on the turmeric. She said it is absolutely fine to take it post op. She takes turmeric herself so is very familiar with it.

I made sure it was safe to take pre op as I am riddled with arthritis and could not get by without it.

I know that drs are all different but hope this helps since you were not able to get answers from yours.

I have been using opurity chewable sleeve and bypass optimized Vitamins from Unjury since surgery. They are high quality, taste good and are affordable.

I have a couple bottles of the complete bariatric Vitamin where you just chew 2x2 a day. They just became so gross I’ve switched to Patches until my blood work says they aren’t working. My D is low but that’s normal for me so I do a weekly pill and folate low because I started methotrexate so I take folic acid pills. The patches are just so much easier. Praying they continue to work. 🤞🏼

My doctor recommended Bariatric Fusion chewable. I found the orange cream flavor on Amazon. 4 chewables a day gives you all the Iron, Calcium, B12, etc. you need and they taste good.

These are the ones I started on. Eventually they just became disgusting. My tastes keep changing. But these are the best since it’s every Vitamin and just 4 a day. The berry taste the best IMO but for now I just can’t deal with them

One thing that some of you may want to note is that chewable are more easily absorbed than capsules or pills that you just swallow I was told chewable for life

My doctor requires chewables or powder for the first 3 months. Since I'm just over a week post op, it's kind of nice to get to chew something.

I take the Bariatric Advantage chewable Advanced Multi EA and their calcium chews. The Multivitamins smells terrible, but tastes fine. It did upset my stomach the first time I took it, but never thereafter. I take the fruit flavored Calcium chews and they are so good! It's like a softer starburst, so it's a nice treat twice a day!

I tried chewable vitamins and I immediately threw up. I thought maybe I should try dissolving them in my mouth instead of chewing it but I hated the taste and it felt too sweet. I threw up within seconds of swallowing it. Now I’m back to tablets that smell and taste terrible but for the most part I can keep them down. It takes a while for me to take all of them. I still get Gatorade zero and drink about 4oz while taking the tablets to help with the taste so I don’t throw them up. It’s weird and I don’t know what to do about it. I’m even sadder for having to give out brand new set of chewable Vitamins. I’m 5weeks post op so maybe it will get easier...who knows.

Hello, isn't the calcium 3x a day for you? To make 1500mg or your instructions are different?

My doctor only has me on 1,000 mg a day of calcium, so just twice a day for me. It's amazing how different everyone's instructions are!

Having gall bladder surgery in a few days and I so hope the recovery is easier than the one from the modified DS! I could use a bit of luck/pep talk for a change. I'm starting to be able to walk around without experiencing dizziness, but it would be great if the random pain in my chest and abdomen would go away!!

      Today was rough...
I've been experiencing a headache all day today that just won't go away. I'm thinking it's now progressing into a migraine. Does anyone else get headaches from taking vitamin B12? I did some research and learned that usually a lack of B12 causes headaches. But I've noticed when I take it, I have reoccurring headaches. 😫
