I’ve noticed the days following surgery, my heart date has been a little higher than normal. Its normally between 70-85 but now it’s like mid to high 90s... when I’m in heat, it’s over 100, not but much. Anyone have this happen? I have no idea if the blood thinner will make it high or not.

It could be lots of things early after surgery, including pain, dehydration, fighting off potential infection and more. Keep an eye on it, but I wouldn't worry too much unless it either keeps getting higher or you have other symptoms. Monitor your temp, take pain meds as needed, and hydrate!

I'm on a blood thinner but also still weigh a LOT. Mine ranges from high 70's and then will spike up to high 90's but this has stayed fairly consistent before and after surgery.

You're still healing, so it's bound to be off-normal.

Heart rate changes for a myriad pout reasons. Heart activity eating pain nausea excitement being upset etc. If it is pounding in your chest get it checked out by your gp. [emoji4]

My heart rate is typically in the 70s and while in the hospital I was in the 90s to low 100s for most of my stay. Your body just underwent major trauma so it's normal for your heart to pump a little faster while your body heals. There is a lot of inflammation caused during surgery and one way your body compensates is the increase the heart rate.

Mine was high in the hospital from dehydration even though I was on an IV! When they gave me a large volume of liquid my heart rate went down. Now, 6 months post bypass, my heart rate is slow!! Averages 55. Go figure!

Still purging all of the larger clothing. This morning, a shirt that I ADORED wearing ended up on top. Hard to let it go, but it was also hard to let go of those habits that also no longer serve my highest good. Onward and upward!

Well, tomorrow I go in for an impromptu hiatal hernia repair after ending up in the ER over the weekend because I couldn't get food down and water was moving at a trickle... I've been having these symptoms on and off for a few weeks but Sunday was the worst by far and came with chest pain and trouble breathing. The ER PA thinks it is just esophagitis and that the surgeon and radiologist are wrong. But the bariatric surgeon swears it is a hernia, possibly a sliding one based on my symptoms. So he fit me into his schedule this week to repair it! I hope he's right and this sorts it out. He's going to do a scope afterwards to be sure there is nothing wrong with the esophagus. Here's hoping it all goes well!!
