Low iron & vitamin D

Recommended Posts

Yes, it's very common. What does the doc advise?

I had low Vitamin D before surgery. Vitamin D deficiencies are actually very common. My surgeon put me on prescription vitamin D, and that brought it up really fast. I've taken OTC vitamin D since surgery - my levels are fine now.

I was schedule to have surgery in April but got sick and my team rescheduled me, at that time my Iron levels were normal only viramin D levels were low. I recently did labs again & the only reason I found out my iron is low is because i e-mail my Nut about the prohealth bariatric Multivitamins thats when she inform me that my iron is low.

I had low Vitamin D lonnngg before surgery. Took supplements on and off. The surgeon gave me those 50,000 IU prescription vitamin D pills to take pre-op. Now I take 4,000 IU vitamin d pills daily, post-op.

I baked a gross of (144) chocolate chip cookies for the coffee break (fika) at work. The cool part was that I managed to not eat a single one of them. Not only that but I finished with my baking by 11pm and got up at 5am for my doggie walk before work. This time it was MUCH easier to skip the cookies since I was thinking about dumping in the back of my mind. That and the damn gremlins (oops I mean  grehlins) are on vacation at the moment.

Currently waiting on a surgery date. Hope to hear soon. I have been fighting for the sleeve surgery for 10 years. I am so ready!
