This surgery can’t come soon enough! Every damn part of my body hurts from my knees, hips, legs feet etc. I’m only 58 5’2 (apparently lost a damn inch) & 235. My body since January is NOT HAVING IT!
Can’t wait until the day I never have to speak one word about my health. It’s the most boring subject on the planet . I have developed all kinds of co-morbidities!! My surgery was postponed for a week & as frustrated as I am. I understand that I have to be in the best position to have this surgery. I am just soo frustrated about the daily pain & I’m so eager to reset my life & begin again!! No one ever wants to live their life in this stupid pain. It physically & emotionally hurts so much because I don’t even want to leave the house.

i hear you on all the pain and co-morbidities ....and really hope you will soon be feeling so much better following surgery! and that a lot of these current issues will disappear so you'll have a lot less pain and want to get out and about again 🌸 i know the delay has set things back a bit but glad the new date is getting closer!

Me too, I hurt all over, from shoulder, back, hips and right foot (plantar fascitis). My son said the other day, "Mom, maybe you just need to walk!" I told him that would be great but when I start to walk it flares up the heel spur and my knee. Had right knee surgery year ago. Feeling bad because Hubby is losing weight d/t walking and he always ask me to join him but I can't due to foot hurting. I use to get injections in it but it doesn't work anymore. I use to sleep in a boot and once I hyper extended my foot somehow and threw the boot in the top of the closet. #somepeoplecan'twinforlosing!

To everyone I would say "don't compare your situation to others". Weight lose is easier for some then for others. You have to decide what's best for you and this might mean stepping out on your own. Just remember that when it's all said and done what best for YOUR physical and mental health should be your decision. Most of us on here have either questioned ourselves or had others question our choice for bariatric surgery. And I believe a lot of us have gone through with the procedure and is satisfied with it. Knowledge is the key to understanding what you don't know. So research until you feel you have the knowledge you need to make a informed decision. This might be what you want right now, but let the decision be yours.....

You and I have almost identical stats. I'm 5'3" and weighed 239 on surgery day. I, too, hurt all over. Couldn't walk without pain, and sweating. Knees hurt all the time, etc. It does get much better, and quickly!! I now weigh 172 at 4.5 months post op, and I feel awesome! I have no pain, and this summer heat doesn't bother me. I can go up and down a flight of stairs with no pain. Have faith, soon you will be feeling much better. You hot this. Hang in there

Oh man I can relate! Every day I was at least a 7 or 8 on a 1-10 scale and really most days I was at a 9-10. I would cry daily. And took pain pills and drank to help dim the pain. It was an awful existence non-existence!

I can tell you the difference at 5'4" and 56 years from 287lbs to 135lbs today is dramatically different!!! I still have neuropathy from cancer treatment/surgery, but my pain at the end of the day is a very manageable 3-4. I live life and can be active now! It's night and day difference in pain relief. And I only have had pain pills for an emergency surgery-and no alcohol for pain management either! It's a miracle! Can't wait for y'all to experience this!!!

Oh your post is making me smile!!!!! Congrats on your weight loss & congrats on feeling so much better! These are the reasons why I decided to do the surgery in the 1st place. I have completely lost My mojo & the heavier I’ve gotten the more I stay home & hide! Here’s to getting back into the game of life!!!!! 😄

I can tell you what a difference the sleeve surgery has made for me at 54 years old in the last 8 months. I no longer have sleep Apnea, Gerd, Acid Reflux, or High Blood Pressure. I've gotten rid of all of those comorbidities. I feel so much better and more confident. Good luck on your WLS journey.

Amazing ! Congrats on getting off the meds & getting rid of the co-morbidities. What a life saver this surgery can be!!
