160 is my "Red Line" weight. When I reach that I know it's time to re double my efforts. I weigh my self every Friday between 4Pm and 8PM. Don't know if the times make a difference but it's just my routine.

Best time for your “true” weight is first thing in the am, pee, get butt ass naked and weigh. I see the doctor scale and say LIAR!

I never weigh myself anymore. Only my doctor weigh-ins and I ask them not to tell me the number. The "number" makes me crazy. I focus on maintaining good eating habits, exercise and if my clothes start to feel too tight I know that I've had too many carbs and cut back.

For me it has freed me from the obsession with food and hating myself over a number. Whatever that number is today -- it is no where near where it was 6 years ago. I just remember that.

I had a 40 lb weight gain over 8 years. 10 years post sleeve. Life happens. too many personal losses and changes....

Back in control now. Lost 37 pounds in the past year. Back to basics. Protein, veggies, fruit , sprinkling of carbs, healthy oils and fats and a daily treat.

Also back to the scale twice daily. Morning and Evening. Evening also lets me know if I have had enough Water. I dehydrate too easily. And not good with my fluids...

I will never be "normal" weight or BMI - but am back to my lowest BMI, and almost lowest sustained weight.

6 yrs post VSG and weigh daily. I am still on my journey! I have a health issue so there is phenomenal incentive to remain on track. Had regain about 2 yrs post op, got my act together and lost all of my regain and then some.

I'm just about three years post-op. If I'm not weighing myself daily then I'm in trouble. I've had regain, but lost about 7kg/15 lbs in the last two months.

Thank you everyone for your well wishes! I totally forgot I wrote an update here... I'm one week post op today. I gained 15 lbs in water weight overnight because they had to give me tons of fluids to bring my BP up after surgery! I stayed one night in the hospital. Everything has been fine except I seem to have picked up a bug while I was there and I've been running a low grade fever, coughing, and a sore throat. So I've been hydrating well and sleeping a ton. So far the Covid tests are negative.
I haven't been able to advance my diet past purees. Everything I eat other than tofu makes me choke and feels like trying to swallow rocks. They warned me it would get worse before it gets better, so lets hope this is all normal. I have my follow up on Monday so we'll see. Living on shakes and soup again is not fun. I had enough of them the first time!! LOL

Still purging all of the larger clothing. This morning, a shirt that I ADORED wearing ended up on top. Hard to let it go, but it was also hard to let go of those habits that also no longer serve my highest good. Onward and upward!

Have a great Wednesday too! Sorry you're hungry all the time, I'm pretty much the same..and I'm sick of eating the same food all the time.

Well, tomorrow I go in for an impromptu hiatal hernia repair after ending up in the ER over the weekend because I couldn't get food down and water was moving at a trickle... I've been having these symptoms on and off for a few weeks but Sunday was the worst by far and came with chest pain and trouble breathing. The ER PA thinks it is just esophagitis and that the surgeon and radiologist are wrong. But the bariatric surgeon swears it is a hernia, possibly a sliding one based on my symptoms. So he fit me into his schedule this week to repair it! I hope he's right and this sorts it out. He's going to do a scope afterwards to be sure there is nothing wrong with the esophagus. Here's hoping it all goes well!!
