Im not usually a jealous person, but the one thing that has me eating envy pie are people who are blessed with HEIGHT.

You look so tall and slim its killing me.

If you post a pic in a body con dress and heels i will burst into green flames.

(Please post a pic in a body con dress and heels!!!)

P.S. and no, its not your responsibility to dress “appropriately” lest you entice the hoard of “bad boys” into “going nuts”. It’s THIER responsibility to check their misogynistic attitudes and internalize that yes, you CAN control yourselves in the presence of attractive women. And, no, it is not acceptable nor normal nor legal.

Sorry. I held off for a day. I couldn’t resist anymore.

Amen sister!

Dress arrived in the mail today. Is this the unicorn? 🦄 I don’t think I would wear this until after plastics in late May as it shows the loose skin on my tummy and upper hips...think spare tire of loose skin.

I would like to dedicate this post to @ms.sss 😉

I take it you’re referring to that post in food Befote & After. What was that? You think we were past most of that sort of thinking but then there it is again. Such a narrow minded, backward thinking comment. We should only dress for ourselves & not a small number of Neanderthals. If it makes you feel comfortable, confident & happy it’s perfect for you.

Smock tops always make me think of my dear, dear friend Pat, who often wears them. They always look so pretty, cool & fresh especially your blue & white one @WishMeSmaller.

And I like your new slim line dress. If you feel a little self conscious about your loose skin, though I can barely notice anything, try a pair of full brief knickers with a little more Lycra in them than your usual knickers. I find they get me through those days when I feel like I have a little pooch in dresses like this & I just need a smoother line. Remember when we’d have those heavy duty ‘suck-it-all-in’ underwear like Spanxs, Nancy Ganz, etc.? I took great delight in tossing all those out of my cupboards.

Somewhere along the line I promised a miniskirt. Here goes...

ps. I am still waiting to get the severe varicose veins on my right leg (left too, but not as bad) corrected. My vascular surgeon is pretty backed up right now for scheduling. Calling them again tomorrow. I have developed more phlebitis and it is soooo painful. Trying to hide it in the photo, because 🥴😧

oooooooooohhhhhhhhh. You are built for super-modeling, or wearing a wonder woman costume.

1st pic: I am in love with those mules...I love shoes that are similar colour as one's skin...makes you look, yep, taller. lolololzzz. The dress is lovely on you, and your shoulders look a-may-zing. Appropriate to be the hottest girl at a dignified event where every one is holding their liquor well, lol. Now i feel that you could probably go 3 sizes smaller to get to skankified level (if that is a level you want to go, of course! lol. its not a place for everyone.)

2nd pic: Ok, now we see where the true source of your powers lie. Your legs. They look loooooooooong alright. I think maybe you should only wear miniskirts. All the time. 😍

Starting from the bottom up. AGREE! It is not a person’s responsibility to control other’s reactions to the way they look. I HATE the “she was asking for it” thing by “dressing sexy” or drinking to much, and the “boys will be boys” attitude. I was annoyed with the post I believe you are referencing, but was just ignoring it, because that is what I was conditioned to do by the societal norms of my (our) generation. You are right to say something. Thank you! 😘

Lol...super funny about the height thing. I get a lot of comments about how tall I look now that I am no longer obese. Apparently my legs look longer now, too. Some pretty cool, unexpected stuff with the weight loss. 😊😊

I WANT a body con dress, but I am struggling to find one this year with all of the looser clothing styles. I WANT you to burst into green flames (lol 😂😂) when I post a picture of this mythical dress with some pretty cool heels I bought recently. I have a dress on order that “might” qualify. I will post when I find this apparent unicorn 🦄😂

that last body con dress you posted in looks amazing on you.... Try Shein... If you are not in a hurry, you can get cute stuff and really good prices. I've bought from them a few times. Not the best of quality... but still good.

Thank you all! @GreenTealael, that dress looks slamming on you!

@BayougirlMrsS and @ms.sss apparently I do I have long legs...they were just lost in the fat🙄🙄🙄 I had no idea 🤷‍♀️

@ms.sss until I get my veins fixed I absolutely refuse to wear miniskirts all the time. After that, we will talk. Lol! Also, I don’t think I am quite ready for the full skankification until after plastics when the extra flabby skin goes bye and I have boobs again. I am hoping for creation of a waist, but I will be satisfied with loss of the spare tire of loose skin and creation of perky boobs. I may never wear a bra again. Just you wait...skankified Wish coming your way. 😂😂

😍😍😍 I like all of it! I can totally see you in any of those! The tie dye halter would actually get me to the coveted skankified look, but I am just not ready. You would pull that off in a heartbeat. As for the first one, it is super cute and something I would totally wear. I really need to stop buying clothes though, until I have plastics. Clearly I need to check out Shein though...those prices😀

So I guess after gastric bypass surgery, I cant eat flock chips because they are fried???  They sell them on here so I thought I could have them. So high in protein and no carbs.  They don't bother me at all.  Help.

It's possible for a very high fat meal to cause dumping in some (30% or so) gastric bypass patients, although it's more likely to be triggered by high sugar, or by the high fat/high sugar combo (think ice cream, donuts). Dietitians will tell you to never do anything that isn't 100% healthy ever again. Realistically, you should aim for a good balance of protein, carbs, and fat each day. Should you eat fried foods every day? No. Is it possible they will make you sick? Maybe. Is it okay to eat some to see what happens and have them for a treat every now and again? Yes.

I'm not at all hungry on this liquid pre-op diet, but I miss the sensation of chewing. It's been about two weeks––surgery is in two days––and I can't imagine how I'll feel a couple of weeks post-op. Tonight, I randomly stumbled upon a mukbang channel on YouTube, and it was strangely soothing... is it just me, or is this a thing?

I actually watched cooking shows during my pre-op, like Great British Baking Show. It was a little bizarre, but didn't make me hungry. I think it was also soothing in a way.

How do you figure out what your ideal weight should be? I've had a figure in my head for years, but after 3 mths of recovery I'm already almost there. So maybe my goal should be lower?

      1. NickelChip

Well, there is actually a formula for "Ideal Body Weight" and you can use a calculator to figure it out for you. This one also does an adjusted weight for a person who starts out overweight or obese. https://www.mdcalc.com/calc/68/ideal-body-weight-adjusted-body-weight

I would use that as a starting point, and then just see how you feel as you lose. How you look and feel is more important than a number.

      2. Clueless_girl

I did find different calculators but I couldn't find any that accounted for body frame. But you're right, it is just a number. It was just disheartening to see that although I lost 60% of my excess weight, it's still not in the "normal/healthy" range..

Tomorrow marks two weeks since surgery day and while I'm feeling remarkably well and going about just about every normal activity, I did wind up with a surface abscess on on of my incision sights and was put on an antibiotic that made me so impacted that it took me more than two hours to eliminate yesterday and scared the hell out of me. Now there's Miralax in all my beverages that aren't Smooth Move tea. I cannot experience that again. I shouldn't have to take Ativan to go to the lady's. I really looking forward to my body getting with the program again.
I'm in day three of the "puree" stage of eating and despite the strange textures, all of the savory flavors seem decadent.
I timed this surgery so that I'd be recovering during my spring break. That was a good plan. Today is a state holiday and the final day of break. I feel really strong to return to school tomorrow.

Now that I'm in maintenance mode, I'm getting a into a routine for my meals. Every day, I start out with 8-16 ounces of water, and then a proffee, which I have come to look forward to even the night before. My proffees are simply a black coffee with a protein powder added. There are three products that I cycle through: Premier Vanilla, Orgain Vanilla, and Dymatize Vanilla.
For second breakfast on workdays, I will have a low-fat yogurt with two tablespoons of PBFit and two teaspoons of no sugar added dried cherries. I will have ingested 35-45 grams of protein at this point between the two breakfasts, with 250-285 calories, and about 20 carbs.
For second breakfast on non-workdays, I will prepare two servings of plain, instant oatmeal with a tablespoon of an olive oil-based spread. This means I will have had 34 grams of protein, 365 calories, and 38 carbs. Non-workdays are when I am being very active with training sessions, so I allow myself more carbohydrate fuel.
Snacks on any day are always mixed nuts, even when I am travelling. I will have 0.2 cups of a blend that I make myself. It consists of dry roasted peanuts, cashews, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, pistachios, and Brazil nuts. This is 5 grams of protein, 163 calories, and 7 carbs.
Breakfast and snacks have been the easiest to nail down. Lunch and dinner have more variables, and I prepare enough for leftovers. I concentrate on protein first, and then add vegetables. Typically tempeh, tofu, or Field Roast products with roasted or sautéed vegetables. Today, I will be eating leftovers from last night. Two ounces of tempeh with four ounces of roasted vegetables that consist of red and yellow sweet peppers, sweet potatoes, small purple potatoes, zucchini, and carrots. I will add a tablespoon of olive oil-based spread, break up 3 walnuts to sprinkle of top, and garnish with two tablespoons of grated Parmesan cheese. This particular meal will be 19 grams of protein, 377 calories, and 28 grams of carbs. Bear in mind that I do eat more carbs when I am not working, and I focus on ingesting healthy carbs instead of breads/crackers/chips/crisps.
It's a helluva journey and I'm thankful to be on it!
