You should be able to find that information with your carrier so it won't be a surprise.

Call them. At least with my insurance (not Cigna), I had the hospital copay (easily found on the insurance website), doctor’s copay, and anesthesiologist copay. Also know whether you get some surgical follow-ups included with the price of surgery (I got 90 days, but my surgeon’s office kept trying to bill me.). The hospital overcharged me by $150 (not given the discount for being a center of excellence) and the surgeon kept trying to charge me for follow ups, so understanding my insurance likely saved me hundreds of dollars.

I have a surgeon's copay of $200, a $100 per night copay with a max of $500, and no anesthesia copay. I have already paid $40 for my consult, $116 for the EGD, $196 for my surgeon copay for the EGD, $30 for one nutrition appointment, and $30 for my psych eval. You should be able to find the costs of everything in your insurance benefits booklet.

I still have another appointment with my primary for my final nutrition visit then I have to do the nutrition consult with my surgeons office. I'm going to call them next week and see if I can do that between now and my final nutrition appointment so they can submit everything.

I met with my surgeon on Friday.. I've completed all my tests and all my nutrition meetings as well as meeting the weight loss requirements for my insurance. We are officially submitting to insurance for approval and I was given a surgery date of January 16th 2020 (13 days before my birthday!) Fingers crossed all goes through

Ok, now im getting old...my body gets me up at my normal 5am dog walk even when it's the weekend, vacation, and most importantly when I'm sick. So now that I have more energy, my body wants to make sure I suffer even longer during the day when I have a cold! Damn being healthy again! (:D)
