Hi I'm a new born sleever 6 days old.

And I was wondering if Anyone has experienced the pain of a horse stomping on your chest? It's like a gas bubble (burp) is stuck.. n it hurts like crazy? My phase one diet is still the same.. Water, popsicles, Jello, broth, Protein water...I'm on day 6 so I'm confused...

I am almost a month out and my chest still hurts when I take too big of drinks. Even drinks that I think were tiny. In the beginning it hurt a lot more, the pain does get better. Hang in there.

If it only happens when you're drinking you need to slow down and make sure you're not swallowing air. Place the liquid in your mouth and slowly exhale, then swallow.

If you're not drinking when it happens - go to the ER! You might be having a heart attack

According to my hospital discharge papers, one of the conditions to trigger a call to the surgeon's office Is:

Chest pain, rapid heartbeat and/or dizziness.

Agree with the others. If I drink to fast i get a little reminder from my baby stomach to hold my horses.

Still purging all of the larger clothing. This morning, a shirt that I ADORED wearing ended up on top. Hard to let it go, but it was also hard to let go of those habits that also no longer serve my highest good. Onward and upward!

Well, tomorrow I go in for an impromptu hiatal hernia repair after ending up in the ER over the weekend because I couldn't get food down and water was moving at a trickle... I've been having these symptoms on and off for a few weeks but Sunday was the worst by far and came with chest pain and trouble breathing. The ER PA thinks it is just esophagitis and that the surgeon and radiologist are wrong. But the bariatric surgeon swears it is a hernia, possibly a sliding one based on my symptoms. So he fit me into his schedule this week to repair it! I hope he's right and this sorts it out. He's going to do a scope afterwards to be sure there is nothing wrong with the esophagus. Here's hoping it all goes well!!
