Chiptress, definitely the hormones!!! Gentle hiking for steps has helped me significantly!! Try getting out even if it's to the shops to get steps in and be out of our heads or away from triggers makes a difference.
Just know it should settle soon. Always talk it out and don't bottle your emotions and let family members know it's not personal (as hard as it seems) rather par for the course.

About That sushi, BRAVE woman you!!!!!!!lol!! I've been beyond petrified about going off plan!!! No rice, bread, carbs, sugars etc for the next 5 months or EVER!!
I hope you start feeling better and it's a lesson learned. Dust it off, no permanent damage and back to plan. That's the great thing about this tool! It's very easy to "Ctrl Alt Delete".

Hope you start feeling better mood wise too!! It's A LOT but we'll prevail [emoji8][emoji8][emoji8][emoji7][emoji7][emoji7][emoji7][emoji7]🧡[emoji176][emoji176][emoji176][emoji176]

I saw my surgeon again last week and he moved me to pureed foods! I noticed I can drink Water pretty well but still don't get enough per day, Protein Shakes are SO hard for me to get down. I bought a YETI specifically for Protein because it keeps it cold all day so I can sip on it. Aside from not being able to eat like before I don't even feel like I've had surgery. I'm really, really wanting to chew food right now, desperately, I'm allowed to have soft scrambled eggs so I typically try to chew those. I bought the Gerber puffs baby Snacks because they essentially dissolve but can also be chewed for some crunch, hoping crunching a couple helps some!

I went for a walk today and did 3.67 miles in 78 minutes and stopped once to dump some gravel out of my shoes. I was pretty active before surgery so it has definitely helped in recovering so quickly.

Hi Chiptress Sorry to heat you were feeling down . Ive felt a bit down for a couple of days now . Maybe it’s because we come out on a high because we’ve had it done at last , and then if we’re not getting out so much , that does it a bit? I was really interested to read about your cheese and Pasta you did. I’ve been wanting to do that for ages ! Did you use ordinary light cheese or soft cheese ? What is ricotta ? Hope your spirits have lifted a bit now ,

Just checking in...my surgery (GB) was 8/21, but I ended up back in the hospital last week for three days. They did a hiatal hernia repair with my surgery, and I had some issues that developed, in addition to being allergic to the surgical glue! Still in a lot of pain from the hernia site, but I'm home again.

So disheartening to come home and get on the scale..I ate literally NOTHING for two days, but thanks to the IV fluids, I was up 6 pounds 😰 It was gone this morning though, and I'm back on the loser's bench...

I've been tracking all of my intake pretty closely in the Baritastic App, and I'm averaging 300-350 calories a day, at the most. I know I need more Protein, but I'm trying to move to "real" food...hate to rely on shakes all the time.

I'm on purees now, and I managed some refried Beans yesterday, and some canned chicken and mayo today at lunch.

I'm down 16.5 pounds in 20 days, even with the IV Fluid Detour, so I'm not really complaining...

Starting the day I got home after my bypass, all of my incisions were swollen and red (about an inch or so around the incisions), then I got a rash, that eventually spread from my neck to mid-thigh... it was hideous. I took pics and sent them to my doctor, and he called me within an hour to day — a small percentage of people are allergic to the surgical glue, looks like you’re one of them. We need to get that off of you!

The pain issue from the hernia site was what put me back in the hospital, but while I was there, they were able to clear up the rash!

Really?!? I had a rash on my sides of my hips up to my bra line and and a few little spots on my stomach. I have a red ring that grew about 2 inches around and is warm only around 1 incision tho (the one they took my stomach out of). It didn’t hurt/ doesn’t hurt. I was told at my two week that the ring around my incision is most likely a reaction and my rash is from the wipes they used to prep me. My rash is gone but the ring is probably about an half inch around still. Was told to remove the glue from the one but I’m afraid that it will pull my stitching. But probably should.

If they told you to remove the glue, I would do it :) I was a little worried about it, but it did help me...and nothing came loose, lol.

Shredded chicken breast cooked with a lot of broth or marinara in a slow cooker

Different flavors of low sugar greek yogurts

10-20 Veggie Straw “chips” if I want something crunchy (not a lot of protein)

Have a great Wednesday too! Sorry you're hungry all the time, I'm pretty much the same..and I'm sick of eating the same food all the time.

Well, tomorrow I go in for an impromptu hiatal hernia repair after ending up in the ER over the weekend because I couldn't get food down and water was moving at a trickle... I've been having these symptoms on and off for a few weeks but Sunday was the worst by far and came with chest pain and trouble breathing. The ER PA thinks it is just esophagitis and that the surgeon and radiologist are wrong. But the bariatric surgeon swears it is a hernia, possibly a sliding one based on my symptoms. So he fit me into his schedule this week to repair it! I hope he's right and this sorts it out. He's going to do a scope afterwards to be sure there is nothing wrong with the esophagus. Here's hoping it all goes well!!

Having gall bladder surgery in a few days and I so hope the recovery is easier than the one from the modified DS! I could use a bit of luck/pep talk for a change. I'm starting to be able to walk around without experiencing dizziness, but it would be great if the random pain in my chest and abdomen would go away!!
