It went pretty well. I was very nauseous after I woke up and was in some pain. The nausea went away after a couple of hours, no vomiting.

I’m getting morphine 4mg every two hours, toradol (anti inflammatory) and Tylenol through my iv. So, I’m feeling pretty good now.

I’ll be going for a walk soon. Hopefully, that goes well. I think it will. I’m still having a hard time believing that this has finally happened! Lol

Good luck to you and keep posting on how is going.

Do you have to keep the liver diet? My liver better be the size of a pea by the time of surgery because this diet is hard! But I see the light at the end of tunnel!

Tomorrow is the big day for me. I will be so glad when it is finally over. Mainly because I think one of the worst parts of waiting is having had all this time to think of all the things that could possibly go wrong, and wondering/worrying how the pain and nausea and such will be for me. I pray that all of you who are about to have your surgery that all will go well and a speedy recovery for you all. I pray that all those who just had the surgery will have a speedy recovery as well. :)

A lot of you on Monday April 22nd, isn't there? Its like " Easter Monday- hmmmm believe I'll do a few weight l i as surgeries while I'm feeling fine and froggy!" Well today is Surgery Day! I pray that everyone has a safe a fast surgery today. I pray that we all recovery and hopefully not be in so much pain. I continue to pray for strength in all of us and courage to continue this journey thereafter. Many blessings to each and everyone of you today. In Jesus name I pray. Amen

      Well, tomorrow I go in for an impromptu hiatal hernia repair after ending up in the ER over the weekend because I couldn't get food down and water was moving at a trickle... I've been having these symptoms on and off for a few weeks but Sunday was the worst by far and came with chest pain and trouble breathing. The ER PA thinks it is just esophagitis and that the surgeon and radiologist are wrong. But the bariatric surgeon swears it is a hernia, possibly a sliding one based on my symptoms. So he fit me into his schedule this week to repair it! I hope he's right and this sorts it out. He's going to do a scope afterwards to be sure there is nothing wrong with the esophagus. Here's hoping it all goes well!!

      Having gall bladder surgery in a few days and I so hope the recovery is easier than the one from the modified DS! I could use a bit of luck/pep talk for a change. I'm starting to be able to walk around without experiencing dizziness, but it would be great if the random pain in my chest and abdomen would go away!!
