Help needed, swelling bloated stomach

Recommended Posts

I am 2.5 years out, I had the VSG. I’m down 100+ pounds.

Suddenly I’m having issues.

Major reflux. Not new but way worse.

Horrible bloating to the point where people think I’m pregnant. Pain when anything touches my stomach. I can’t wear anything constrictive. DR has done gastric emptying and swallow study. Both were fine. He has no clue what is happening. Says there isn’t even enough stomach left to cause my issues.

He just ordered a esophagus manometry and a PH probe. Waiting to get them done now. I’m in pain. I’m miserable.

Any ideas? Here is a picture, left is when I woke up. Right was in the afternoon. I can literally feel it happening, it’s like blowing up a balloon. I’m so embarrassed to even post this photo.

It could be an intestinal problem instead of a stomach issue. If your intestines are inflamed it causes bloating and in turn pressure to your stomach that will worsen your reflux.

I went to the doctor today and was diagnosed with SIBO. You guys are the best! Now to get insurance to approve the antibiotic.

I also scheduled the ph probe. Hoping something helps!

Having gall bladder surgery in a few days and I so hope the recovery is easier than the one from the modified DS! I could use a bit of luck/pep talk for a change. I'm starting to be able to walk around without experiencing dizziness, but it would be great if the random pain in my chest and abdomen would go away!!

      Today was rough...
I've been experiencing a headache all day today that just won't go away. I'm thinking it's now progressing into a migraine. Does anyone else get headaches from taking vitamin B12? I did some research and learned that usually a lack of B12 causes headaches. But I've noticed when I take it, I have reoccurring headaches. 😫
