I said I didn't want to be a goal weight, I wanted to be a goal size. I wanted to be a size 8. Right now I'm at a size 6 though and its feeling pretty good.

A "healthy" weight for my height is supposed to be anywhere between 100 and 135 lbs. So i picked a number in the middle-ish: 120 lbs. However, I haven't been this weight since university (almost 25 years ago) so I may have to update this goal later. I'll play it by ear...

The height/weight charts say I should weigh 118-149 pounds, so I chose 140, at the top end of the range, because 118 sounds bone-rack unrealistically thin for me.

I have said since the beginning 175 or size 15 junior I think I would look G O O D there, but truly 190 and under, probably teetering between overweight and obese, mfft men my age have given up picking up woman except with their silver tongues, they tend to have lost arm and upper body strength in the first place. Lower bodies strength usually still there, main problem is their minds write checks their bodies have an insufficent credit line to utilize. They may still have "will" but the ole body just "won't"
My rotten 50-51 year old PCP keeps chanting Morbid Obesity,in a tone between Boris Karloff and Vincent Price, tried Freddy Kreuger one day but his vocal cords just don't have the chops!

I've been at goal for years. I was happy to get to the overweight BMI range. I just happened to get to a healthy BMI range. You may not have control of when your weight loss stops. Maintain a BMI at whatever weight you feel healthy.

I weigh in the 130's BMI 23 to 22 - I wear a size four jeans and a medium top.

I am not under weight or anorexic. Most people don't know what a healthy BMI looks like. I don't look skeletal. I have built muscle and I feel like a bad @ss grandmother. I have loose skin, I can’t afford surgery and I'm ok with it.

I'm a tall guy from a family of broad shoulders etc I'm currently 318lbs about 7 years ago I got to 200lbs and that was alright but I think my Perfect goal would be 185lbs then tone up maybe add some muscles up to 192 :) that's my long term goal and good to work for! I think any lower than 180s for me would be bad!

We are the same height.

I weigh 190-191 right now. I’m in a size 12 jean and pant and a size large, sometimes even medium top. I have a pear type shape.

I am hoping for 185-180 but if it doesn’t happen I’m ok with that.

I know the statements that a lower BMI Looks "bad” “bone rack thin" "unhealthy” " a twig" Is your perspective of what looks healthy for your body. Just not helping my body issues today. lol

Sorry about that, But yes we both are speaking on our bodies personally. I have been big since middle school. So when i imagine MYSELF at 118 all i can see is massive amounts of skin and little frame. Now this is me and I don't judge anyone else. But i do apologize if i did put some shame out there.

Your suggested healthy weight range 135 - 182Lbs

that's what BMI says which is so wrong I know for a fact I can't go below 180lbs but BMI scale that's right on the edge of the healthy range!!

2019 - A New Year and a New Start on life!!!!
On 3/14 - I went into the Hospital at 6am to have my surgery <the sleeve>.   My weigh at that time was 278 pounds.   On this day I was in and out of it I don't remember a whole lot I just remember being in a lot of pain.
On 3/15 - They made me get up and walk a few times in the middle of the night and walk doctor came in and I was able to be discharged if I was eating and doing everything on his little checklist.   I went home at 6pm.  All I remember was going home crawling into bed and taking more pain medicine it felt like I got hit in the stomach about 50 times.
On 3/16 - I know they say that walking is the best thing you can do after having surgeries but I was not feeling it at all every time I sat up, I got dizzy needless to say this day I didn't get much walking in and the smell of food just made me gag.  I couldn't even take the pain medicine that was in liquid form.  I stayed in bed for most of the day.
On 3/17 - I did a lot better on this day I was actually able to eat a little bit of Jell-O and drink a little bit of broth.    Still can't seem to take that pain medicine without wanting to gag.   I definitely have been able to keep down water and even had my nephew take a little bit of Crystal Light and some ice chips and mix it in a bullet to make like a slushie.  That was yummy!
This brings me to today 3/18 - I have been trying to drink protein water to get protein in my body. I was able to eat some Jell-O today and keep it down. I also was able to sit up for 5 hours and was able to be sociable again.  I was also finally able to take some pain medicine again without gagging <Thank God>.     Pain is slowly going away.   I have my first one week doctor visit on 3/20 so we will see how that goes

I'm a finisher of a half marathon! Completed yesterday on a beautiful day to run. My hips and Knee are pretty angry with me today, but we finished at 2:19. Not bad for my first half. I was able to run with my wife, so that made it much nicer and easier to get through
